Star Sports Pro Kabaddi season 4 hasn’t begun yet and the Puneri Paltans were dealt with a heavy blow on knowing that they would have to shift their home matches to Mumbai. But team manager, Kailash Kandpal believes the stadium will still be orange come what may. Overwhelmed with the support from the home fans, Kailash has made arrangement to ensure Pune’s faithful get to watch their favourite stars on the mat. “We’ve made bus arrangements for around 700 fans who will be travelling from Pune to Mumbai for the matches. Some of them will be there for all the four days”, he said.
The Paltans have made some strong reinforcements this season something that has caught the eye of quite a few, including U Mumbai coach, E Bhaskaran, who feels Pune are the favourites this season. The Paltan’s manager, Kailash admitted himself that his side may be the best-looking team on paper. But warned that it all depends on how well they perform on match day.

Sportskeeda spoke to Pune’s captain, Manjeet Chhillar prior to their opening match. When asked about the changes to the league, the all-rounder was bullish that his side have the best raiders in the league, “well I don’t think anything has changed much. Obviously, the players have changed. Some players played together for 2-3 years but the auction changed that. Talking about Pune, our attack has changed. We had only a few raiders previously. Now we have the four best raiders in the world”, he said.
Manjeet is one of those players that pays a lot of attention to his dressing sense. At the auction, some weeks back, he was spotted wearing a crisp jacket and a fedora (hat) to top it off. The swag conscious Manjeet also told us who he looks up to when it comes to style- “Okay I’ll reveal this; I am the biggest fan of Salman Khan. I consider him to be a very good human being. Mostly I wear whatever he wears. I like to wear jeans and t-shirts, which he also does”, he concluded.
The Puneri Paltans kick off their campaign against the Telugu Titans on June 25th at 8pm IST.
