Speaking about his appointment into the team, coach Edachery Bhaskaran said, “As a coach, while I look to build on Tamil Nadu’s deep, historic affinity with Kabaddi, I am also working on building a team that could complement each other’s’ strength. I am also glad to be working alongside the management of the Tamil Thalaivas who have in past discussions indicated a similar roadmap for the sport in the state and for the team in the League. “
Commenting on the new appointments, Viren D’Silva - CEO of Tamil Thalaivas shared, “We welcome Coach Edachery Bhaskaran to the Tamil Thalaivas family. We thank Coach Kasinatha Baskaran for his leadership in the PKL Season 5 and for taking up the new role in the Strategic Grassroot Program for Tamil Nadu. We wish both coaches all the best ahead.”
Mr. Kasinatha Baskaran, extremely eager to lead a program that unearths talent from his home state concluded, “The Grassroot program intends to build further on Kabaddi’s popularity in Tamil Nadu by taking the sport even closer to the urban and rural masses and creating a deep pool of future talent for the Tamil Thalaivas team to draw on. It would be my honour, to give back to Kabaddi in my home state.”
