Dabang Delhi were put to the sword in the second half by some inspired display from the Puneri Paltan who got their home campaign off to a flying start as they beat Dabang Delhi 33-28. But, the Paltan had the task of keeping Delhi’s dominant raider Kashiling Adake at bay and the Paltan executed that to perfection to register their second win of the Star Sports Pro Kabaddi Season 2.

Kashiling, on the other hand, seemed to have off day on the field and got caught on several occasions by the Puneri Paltan. But despite that the tall raider was able to rack up nine raid points in the game.

Speaking at the post-match press conference, Kashiling revealed his joy at the reception the crowd gave him. “Despite this being an away game for us, I enjoyed such a great support from the fans here”, said the Top Raider of the Star Sports Pro Kabaddi, Kashiling Adake.

“Felt great when crowd chanted my name”

Kashiling added that he felt moved when his name was chanted by almost the entire stadium. “It felt great when the crowd chanted my name. I am actually from a rival team, but I was cheered whenever I went for a raid and that feels great”, said the man from Satara.

“The Pro Kabaddi has changed my life, now people know me, recognize me and want to have a photograph with me. That makes me feel very proud”, said the Dabang Delhi man.

Kashiling was obviously disappointed not to have won the game which he felt was in their control at the start. “We controlled the game beautifully in the first half but in the second half we really struggled. They had the home support and they did well to channelize it”, added Kashiling Adake.

The league’s top raider revealed that some of his friends and relatives from his native place had come to watch the match, “A few friends from my native place had come today to watch the game. After the game they told me that I am a star, but I feel I am the same person that I was at the start of the league”, a humble Kashiling Adake said.

After having such a wonderful season it was probably apt for Kashiling to end it in his own state and get the love of the people as he did today. It’s indeed the beauty of the game as it made over 2000 people forget their club loyalties as they lauded the most sensational player in Pro Kabaddi Season Two, Kashiling Adake.
