Tamil Thalaivas vs UP Yoddha Match Prediction: Who will win today's Pro Kabaddi 2017 match?

In their second last match at home in the Pro Kabaddi League Season 5, the Tamil Thalaivas will take the battle to the mat against fellow new entrants, UP Yoddha at the Jawaharlal Nehru Indoor Stadium in Chennai.

The Tamil Thalaivas are coming into this match on the back of a loss against the Telugu Titans last night while UP Yoddha ended up on the losing side in their last fixture against the Puneri Paltan.

The previous clashes between these two teams have been edge-of-the-seat thrillers, with the first one ending in a draw and the Thalaivas coming out on top in the second, but just by a slender margin of one point. The Yoddhas will thus be on the hunt for a much-needed win, looking to redeem themselves.

The Tamil Thalaivas have yet not managed to notch up a win in their home leg, succumbing to a string of losses. Ajay Thakur has been the only performer for the team, single-handedly spearheading the raid department and leading the challenge for his team. He picked up 20 points alone in a match which ended with a scoreline of 37-58 against the Titans last night.

The defence of the Thalaivas was absolutely dismal, picking up just 3 tackle points throughout the match and allowing three rival raiders to pick up a Super-10. The likes of Amit Hooda, C Arun, Darshan, Sanket, will have to buck up in a huge manner against UP in tonight's fixture.

The UP Yoddha attack will be led by the threatening duo of Nitin Tomar and Rishank Devadiga, who have picked up almost 250 raid points between themselves so far in the season. They will be supported further by Surender Singh, who will play in the capacity of the third raider.

The defence of the side will be manned majorly by young guns in the likes of Sagar Krishna and Nitesh Kumar on either end of the mat, with the former coming off a High-5 outing in the last match. To complete the starting seven, the experienced Jeeva Kumar and Rohit will be included in the scheme of things.

The advantage certainly lies with UP Yoddha for this fixture, given the poor run of the Thalaivas in the home leg wherein their terrible defence has hurt their cause. If the defence continues to perform in such a dismal manner, the UP raiders, particularly the likes of Rishank and Nitin will find it easy to score points in heaps and thus power their team to a big win.
