In today's second match as part of the final day of Pro Kabaddi 2019's Chennai leg, hosts Tamil Thalaivas will be squaring off against U Mumba in the 55th fixture of the season at the Jawaharlal Nehru Indoor Stadium from 8.30 PM IST.
The home leg conundrum seems to have carried over to the Thalaivas' home leg as well, with the hosts failing to register a single win from their three games at home thus far. However, against U Mumba, the Ajay Thakur-led side will be given a final shot at giving the home fans something to cheer for.
U Mumba, for their part, have been hit by inconsistency all through the season. With four wins and five losses from nine games, the Fazel Atrachali-led side are placed 7th on the points table, one place below their opponents for today's game.
With both teams tied on equal points, a win from this game will give the victorious side a massive jump to 4th place, along with a major morale-boost for the remainder of the season.
As expected, Rahul Chaudhari tops the point-scorers chart for the Thalaivas with 63 points while skipper Ajay Thakur, who has looked far from his best, has 40 points. On the defensive front, Manjeet Chhillar has led the way with 26 points but could miss out from this game owing to a prolonged elbow injury.
