Well then, we witnessed an absolute drubbing handed to Australia by England. The former's net run rate has taken a serious hit with this loss, which means they slid below South Africa to the third position in the table. This result has pushed open a number of opportunities for the rest of the teams in the group. With England almost certain to get through to the final four, South Africa, Australia, Sri Lanka and the West Indies will all be fighting it out for the one remaining spot. Aaron Finch's unit has some time to recover now and they would be trying to find some answers in the meantime.

England, though had a dominant start to the World Cup campaign, would be wary of the fact that their middle-order has hardly had an outing. The bowlers set up the game for them in all three matches and the top-order finished it off, hardly breaking a sweat. The top-order is bound to have a brittle start somewhere down the line and Morgan would hope that his middle-order comes to the party.

Eoin Morgan: Good start in the couple of games so far. It was a challenge adapting to the conditions away from home. But the bowlers did well in the couple of games. It was a good test against strong Australian side. We started off well with the ball and continued to be relentless. The bowlers again came up trumps. Depending on wicket, we have to go to the bowlers. We do have a couple of all-rounders. They came up trumps. They (openers) looked really good. Roy last match, winning the man of the match against Bangladesh. Then Buttler this match, starting off well and then did set up the chase. We are looking forward to the challenge. We play two games in five days, which is a challenge in itself. Looking forward to it.

Aaron Finch: Few wickets in the powerplay. We tried to hang in there and get something around 150. If we had tried to go harder, we could have been out for 80. It might have been defendable if a few things went our way. Chris Woakes, he is a brilliant exponent of swing. He bowled well. We were on the back foot early. You have to bowl them out. The bowlers did not have much of an option. I thought Buttler played a hell of an innings. We got off to a poor start, and then it just compounded. Boys will get some well-deserved rest now. Off to the match against Bangladesh next.

Chris Jordan (Player of the Match): It was a great bowling effort from the boys again. We were just trying to back up our efforts from the first two games. We just wanted to continue that momentum. We were just trying to keep it simple and go with the rhythm of the game. We looked to assess the pitch and hold our lengths and it paid off. And then the way the batters chased it down was excellent. You just try to stick to your strengths as much as possible and keep improving on them while adding onto it. When there are so many players trying to make the team, you keep trying to work hard and improve and do well for the team. Everything else takes care of itself.

That's as convincing as a win can get. If England bowlers dominated Australia in the first half of the match, the English batters absolutely destroyed the Aussie bowling attack in the latter half. There was absolutely nowhere to hide as Jos Buttler went on a carnage, ably supported by Jason Roy and Jonny Bairstow.

The target of 126 runs was never going to bother this formidable batting unit. The only hope for Australia was to get some quick wickets at the start, but Buttler and Roy made sure that it wasn't the case. They started a bit consciously but let loose once they spent some time in the middle. Jason Roy was dismissed for 22 at just over a run a ball, but Jos Buttler carried on, remaining 71 not out at the end. His innings included five fours and five monstrous sixes. Jonny Bairstow hit a couple of big ones, scoring 16 runs from just 11 deliveries.

The only bowler whose figures had a semblance of respect was Ashton Agar. 2.4 overs from him cost just 15 runs and included a wicket. His spinning partner Adam Zampa had a nightmare-ish outing, traveling over the fence four times and conceding 37 runs in 3 overs. None of the Australian quick bowlers looked threatening, unlike their England counterparts.

11.2 Adam Zampa to Jonny Bairstow, low full toss on the pads, Bairstow brings his bat down and helps it around the corner before deep backward square leg slides to his right to stop the ball from reaching the ropes. Single it is!

11.1 Adam Zampa to Jonny Bairstow, FOUR BYES! BEATS EVERYONE! Sums up the night for Australia! Flighted full outside off, Bairstow looks to bring out a slog sweep but is beaten by the flight that then fools both the keeper and slip before tricking through to the ropes.

It is an absolute carnage from the England batters, and Adam Zampa has been at the receiving end of it. Just like that, they are almost a hit away from the target. Just seven more runs required now.
