Marsh collects the trophy for the Australians and they pose together on the podium! End of a really good home summer for Australia and they'd now get a much-needed break before heading to New Zealand for more T20Is. The West Indian players, meanwhile, are off to the franchises!

Mitchell Marsh (Australian captain): I thought we were in great position in the first innings and I went for the kill. But they are a formidable team and we were on the wrong end of it. They bat deep. It's nice to win the series. Bartlett has had a great year. It's great to see young guys coming and doing well and bring that energy.

Rovman Powell (West Indies captain): Great to come here and win. Australian teams are really strong at home. Credit to my boys. We have had good plans right throughout the three games, it's the execution that let us down. We sat down and talked about how they are good players but we can't let them score 240 in a T20 game. Always good for players to have confidence. Sherfane was struggling in the first couple of games, we just told him to relax. As a young international captain I have a lot of things to think about, there are a lot of people knocking on the doors, maybe we can sit down and see who's doing well in the franchises. Yes, I am off to Dubai today to be with my team.

David Warner: It started off quite well for us. It's good to see the guys to get some break and freshen up ahead of the New Zealand series and then the WC. It'll be great to spend some quality time with the girls, work on their schooling, and just be home on my bed. I was quite surprised that the opening bowler who bowls at 140 and swings wasn't trying to get me out. Going to the Caribbean, there will be big boundaries and I have prepared like that. I am well and truly done. It's time for the youngsters to come in. We have a lot of young talent coming up in Australia. (Can we confirm that T20 WC would be his last?) Yes.

David Warner is the Player of the Series!

Andre Russell is the Player of the Match! Here's what he has to say: When we started the series, not really the way we wanted to get off, we had to catch up a lot but today we played some good cricket, it was a total team effort and I'm just happy to contribute. I thought, it's just wake up call for me, made me more alert, the wicket was very good, there was bounce and I was up for the challenge. Rutherford is a good striker, he was going well and I wasn't worried about when he was on strike, happy for him as well, I'm glad that we're peaking at the right time. It's good that we're consistently scoring 200 runs in the series, once we get the bowling right, it's a different team altogether.

A lot of positives for the West Indies on this tour - Russell's form, Rutherford's contribution, batting depth kicking in. There are still some concerns regarding the bowling, especially at the death but you feel they'd be tapered over when they go back home. Overall, the visiting team managed to send a message to put themselves right up there among the competitors for the World Cup. Australia were as clinical as ever in the first two games and found great contributions from everywhere. They'd like to take this match more as an aberration than a cause of concern. Roston Chase: We had a team talk, we don't want to leave Australia without a win, boys gave it all and we got the win we were looking for. I thought it wa sa good score, we decided if we win the toss, we will bat first, put runs on the board and put Aussies under some pressure, it worked out for us. Warner is a wonderful player, always feels good to get the wicket of a big player. We call him Superman, that 19th over actually changed the complexion of the game, turned the momentum in our favour.

West Indies win the final match of the series by 37 runs to keep the series 2-1 and take some pride home before hosting the World Cup!

A hard-fought and entertaining comes to an end with the West Indies' only second T20I win here in Australia. And they have trounced the hosts just like how they were beaten in the previous two games - by getting a massive tot on the board and then defending it with aplomb and confidence.

The visitor lost early wickets in the first innings but came roaring back into the contest through that partnership between Russell and Rutherford which took them past 220. Australia looked up for it when Marsh and Warner saw off the first two overs and then upped the tempo.

They went wicketless in the powerplay too and it needed a good ball from Hosein soon after the powerplay to separate them. Hardie struggled to get going against the extended spell of spin from Hosein and Chase which ended in three quick wickets of Hardie, the well-set Warner and Inglis. Two of them came in the same over from Chase.

It was already a difficult situation, even for David and Maxwell, to try and chase 104 from 36 balls but Joseph and Shepherd sneaked in even quieter overs with an excellent mix of slowers and yorkers to take the RRR past 25. Shepherd bowled a stunning yorker to take out Maxwell and David hit a couple more big shots when the match was a long gone conclusion to pacify the not-so-happy crowd a bit.

19.5 Jason Holder to Tim David, WIDE! Short delivery, dug into the track and well directed too. David looks to pull that one across the line and misses. That's a shocker from the umpire, calls it a wide and Holder is not a happy man!

19.4 Jason Holder to Matthew Wade, OH! Excellent yorker, right up in the blockhole. Wade looks to whip it across the line, but gets an inside edge back on to the pad, takes the single.

A couple of late sixes from Tim David but it won't help him too much. His last six months have been very inconsistent. If not winning, him and Maxwell were expected to at least keep West Indies in the game.
