Alrighty, that's that from this riveting test match as West Indies clean sweep Bangladesh in their home 2-0 and thanks for tuning into Sportskeeda and keep plugging in for more cricket news and articles until next time this is Pradeep Somashekar and my partner Pratyush signing off!
It's Presentation Time!

Bangladesh skipper at the presentation. Mominul Haque says, it's always disappointing when you lose. We take some positives from series like how Mehidy Hasan came off ages and batted brilliantly and Taijul bowled exceptionally well, Tamim got fifty and Rahim as well. When Tamim and Soumya Sarkar were batting it looked all easy and thought we had the perfect opportunity to square the series. It's always tough when you lose your star player and that's exactly what happened with us, Shakib is our main player and it's tough to fill that void.

Rahkeem Cornwall has been adjudged the Man of the Match for his 9 wickets in the match!

Cornwall
says, it was a good performance from Day 1 and followed the process and went ahead did my job. Once the condition offers assistance I enjoy bowling in the middle and obviously I can spin the ball as I back myself to put the ball in the right areas. Just have to be patient in the test match and keep persisting with the lines and lengths and be consistent to build pressure. I have been working on my fielding in the mornings and once the ball comes to me I make sure I catch that.

Nkrumah Bonner has been adjudged the Man of the Series for his 231 runs!

Bonner
says, quite similar to what the conditions in the Caribbean but the only difference it keeps a little low here. Being the senior guy it is important keep the patience depending on the nature of the wicket. After all it's test cricket and you have to put the price on your wicket and never wanted to throw away.  Our bowlers were toiled all day and it is important as a batsman that I spent as much time in the middle as possible.

Winning captain Kraigg Brathwaite at the presentation:  It's a team effort during the one day series the team didn't do well but worked hard and enjoyed it and came out on top in the test series. I was never surprised my skill with the ball and just want to come in and keep it tight and always feel thankful for that.

It's nice to know that we're the first West Indies team after 2012 in Asia in 2 test match series to win the series and it's a good accomplishment for the boys.

Thankful and happy to be the captain of West Indies as I said, it's the team effort, stuck to the plan, very disciplined and came out on top. This series win means everything, cricket is our game and back home fans will be proud.

Before the series started a lot of people wrote us off and we knew we could do it and we stuck to our plans, kept it simple and proved everyone wrong at the end. Most of the players in the line-up looking forward to tour. Nrkumah Bonner, Kyle Mayers and Shayene Moseley who didn't get runs but I'm sure he'll be amongst the runs soon.
West Indies clean sweep the series 2-0 and that leaves Bangladesh in tatters! Every individual in that West Indies dressing room has been a hero in this series. It was Kyle Mayers and Nkrumah Bonner in the first test. In this test, it was Rahkeem Cornwall and Jomel Warrican. Outstanding stuff from West Indies, coming here as underdogs and to show the world that they are not to be taken lightly or written off. Huge, huge boost for the Caribbean's!

West Indies set it up in the first innings with 409 and Bangladesh almost never recovered from that as they were struggling at 155-6 in the first innings after which Liton Das and Mehidy Hasan special we got to witness where they stitched a partnership to get close to West Indies total and ended up conceding a 113 runs lead in the first innings.

West Indies then started their second innings and were in all sorts of trouble at the end of Day 3. Bangladesh did well to bowl out the visitors for 117 which meant they were chasing 231 on a pitch that was turning square with uneven bounce.

It was always difficult for the Bangladesh batsman to get going. Tamim Iqbal and Soumya Sarkar started off the chase in a brilliant fashion but once Soumyar Sarkar and Tamim Iqbal perished. Bangladesh were in all sorts of trouble as they were 3 down suddenly with a score of 78 on board.

Mushfiqur Rahim and Mominul Haque went into the Tea and they obviously would've come up with plans but Warrican breaks the partnership soon as he came into the attack post-tea.

Bangladesh needed to draw some inspiration from the visitors from the first test match but they failed to do as they kept losing wickets in regular intervals, it was that man, Rahkeem Cornwall who kept coming back to take wickets and pushed Bangladesh deeper and deeper into the abyss.

Liton Das plays a rash shot and gets out and it was then Bangladesh lost all hopes of winnings this test match. Brathwaite brings himself on for the final over of the day and gets the crucial wicket of Nayeem Hasan and the match officials decide to extend the play by 30 minutes as West Indies needed just 1 wicket to win the match.

Mehidy Hasan had other plans as they lose the ninth wicket, he then decides to go berskerk against Cornwall and smashes him for a six and a boundary in two consecutive overs and got them close to the doors of the victory but Warrican as always had it in him and plucked that final wicket to win the series 2-0!

After this stunning defeat, Bangladesh will need to do some serious thinking the way they approach the test match game from here on. They had their moments but they failed to capitalize on that and paid the price for it.

When the series started off had anyone said West Indies that they would take the series 2-0, no would've put their money on them but at the end of the series they proved all of them wrong and here they are victorious and proved the world if you believe in yourselves you can almost achieve anything.
Victory for West Indies and Mehidy Hasan is distraught! So close yet so far for Bangladesh. Take a bow Mehidy Hasan but what a test match cricket we've had and Warrican finishes things off as Cornwall takes a stunner!
Over: 62 | Summary: 0 0 W Bowler: Jomel Warrican Score: 0/0
61.3 Jomel Warrican to Mehidy Hasan, EDGED! WEST INDIES HAS WON IT! A touch short on off stump, Hasan gets stuck on the backfoot and pushes at it to get an outside edge and the big man, Cornwall, takes a stunning low catch to seal the series for his side! Mehidy came agonizingly close to clinch something away from it but he's fallen just short.

West Indies win by 17 runs.
61.2 Jomel Warrican to Mehidy Hasan, good length delivery middle stump, got some extra bounce but it's well negotiated by Mehidy
61.1 Jomel Warrican to Mehidy Hasan, good length delivery coming in with the arm, Mehidy stays behind the line of that one and taps it back to the bowler
10 minutes of play left as Warrican continues!
Don't think Mehidy Hasan has given up any hopes as he powers Cornwall for another maximum. This is definitely going the wire folks, don't go anywhere. Mehidy executes a reverse sweep with perfection and gets another boundary in that over. Unbelievable from Mehidy Hasan as he retains the strike for the next over.

Bangladesh need 18 runs to win now!
Over: 61 | Summary: 0 0 0 6 4 1 Bowler: Rahkeem Cornwall Score: 213/9
60.6 Rahkeem Cornwall to Mehidy Hasan, a tad short turning into the batsman, who goes deep in his crease and tucks it with soft hands towards midwicket, to take the quick single. Excellent batting from Mehidy Hasan!

Jayed just surviving that over from Warrican, beaten twice with the ball turning away from the batsman and negotiated it well in the end.

Can Cornwall finish things off in the next over?

Bangladesh need 29 runs and West Indies need 1 wicket to win!
Over: 60 | Summary: 0 0 0 0 0 0 Bowler: Jomel Warrican Score: 202/9
59.6 Jomel Warrican to Abu Jayed, fullish delivery on middle stump, not the most convincing defense from Jayed but he manages to jam another one out to see out the over
