Commentary

So, with this, we come to the end of the coverage for the 2nd T20I. We definitely would have loved to bring you the full match, but no one have a say on the weather, even after waiting so long for the game to resume. We will be back again with live action on Thursday, the 2nd of May with the 3rd match of the series. If India Women win it, they seal the series. India were 47/1 in 5.2 overs after a scintillating cover drive for four from the bat of Dayalan Hemalatha when the skies opened up for the second time! Unfortunately, this rain spell quashed all hopes of a resumption in play!

But for India Women, it meant victory in the end by 19 runs on the DLS method. They now have a 2-0 lead in the 5-match series with 3 more matches to play.

Positives for India will of course be the batting of Hemalatha, who scored 41 unbeaten runs at a strike rate of 170.3 and Radha Yadav, whose clever left-arm spin-bowling brought impressive figures of 3/19 in 4 overs!

Bangladesh Women needed to stem the flow of runs in these 26 deliveries, but were unable to keep things quiet, thanks to the assault by the returning Indian number 3!

As it is, due to persistent rain, there will be no further play in the 2nd T20I between Bangladesh Women and Indian Women. Which means that India have won this match by 19 runs on the DLS method.
