Things took a bit of a turn when Lynn finally was out for good just after reaching his 50. Joe Denly who was batting on 32 also lost his wicket in the following over. The equation stood at 40 runs needed from the last 5 overs and Heat lost another wicket in the form of James Bazley.

As it looked like the match would go down to the wire, Joe Burns who looked in red hot from played a brilliant cameo where he scored 31 runs in just 15 balls and saw his side through to the finish line!

With that, the Heat win this match comfortably by 5 wickets!
Later on, Lynn was riding his luck as he skied one high in the air and survived. He continued to be explosive but was living dangerously out in the middle. He was caught out later on as well but Jack Prestwidge bowled a backfoot no-ball and came back to bat more.

The drop catches, and the backfoot no-ball just summed up the Renegades campaign for this season. Lynn in the process managed to reach his half-century and it looked like the Heat were cruising through to the win as they secured the bash point as well.
Coming to chase this total, Renegades needed an early wicket. Chirs Lynn and Max Bryant were kept quiet initially by Kane Richardson. Both the batsman just saw through that and started to accelerate the scoring rate once they got themselves in.

Skipper Lynn broke the shackles as he hit 3 consecutive boundaries to Wasim in the 5th over. Max after play a few dot balls decided to cut himself loose but lost his wicket as he was caught on the fence.
Joe Burns plays a fruitful cameo and makes sure that his side crosses the finish line and register a comfortable victory in the end. Joe Burns Stayed unbeaten and scored 31 runs in just 15 balls!
Over: 19 | Summary: 4 1 1 4 Bowler: Kane Richardson Score: 150/5
18.4 Kane Richardson to Joe Burns, FOUR AND THAT SHOULD BE IT! A short ball bowled outside off, Burns guides it past the keeper and the deep third-man fielder for a boundary and the winnings runs!
18.3 Kane Richardson to Jimmy Peirson, a short ball bowled at the body, Peirson pulls it but can't get all of it and will have to stay content with a single. Just 4 more runs needed for the Heat to win this here!!
18.2 Kane Richardson to Joe Burns, a short ball on the body, Burns pulls it to square leg for a single
18.1 Kane Richardson to Joe Burns, FOUR! A full ball on the stumps, Burns lofts it over the bowler's head for a boundary! What a cameo this is turning out to be for Burns! Down to 6 runs needed for Heat!!
A maximum gets the equation down to a run ball from here. The Renegades in the last half an hour managed to pluck the wickets and surely had an outside chance to win this match but Joe Burns has risen to the occasion and is seeing his side through!! Heat need 10 runs in 12 balls!

Kane Richardson comes on to bowl the penultimate over!!
