MS Dhoni: I think the last 4 overs when we were bowling (didn't go to plan), before that the bowlers had done a good job, we needed to close in nicely. Batting has been bit of a worry and today also it was evident. We need to do something about it. We can't keep turning up and it is almost the same thing that is happening maybe the individuals are different but I think we are better off playing the other way round - play the big shots and even if you get out it is fine because we can't leave too many after the 15th or 16th over that just puts too much pressure on the lower order batsmen. Our batting has lacked a bit of you can say power more from the 6th over onwards, individuals get tentative and no matter how much confidence you are giving them, ultimately they have to have their own plan as to how to play. We have not been able to adapt and plan for bowlers bowling from 6-14 overs.

Virat Kohli : It was one of our most complete performances. We got into a bit of a tricky position in the first half. From there on, we pushed forward. We spoke during the second timeout (with the bat) that 140-150 would be good. Ended up getting more than that. It was a tricky pitch. Really pleased to get two points. We have back-to-back games coming up, so important to build momentum. It's about understanding the conditions and respecting the game. Instead of trying to hit every ball into the second tier of the stadium. Having played so much cricket, especially T20 cricket, I have learnt that if you are set at the death, you can capitalize. (Whether the Super Over vs MI helped him) Before that, I was trying to do too much. If you think too much about responsibility, you get burdened. That Super Over where I had to strike, else we would have lost, freed me up. Training all these days also helped. Yes, he's (Morris) been really good, gun on the field and three wickets on debut. With him and Gurkeerat, the batting also gets deep. When you get momentum in this format, it can be the difference between finishing at the top or at the bottom.
So that is it from this match as RCB wrap up a comfortable 37-run win which is their biggest over CSK. Chasing 170 for victory, the openers didn't get going at all and were eventually dismissed by Washington Sundar. Ambati Rayudu stayed in the middle for 40 balls but he wasn't proactive at all. In fact, the debutant Narayan Jagadeesan showed more intent during his 33-run knock but even his knock came to end through a disappointing run-out. Skipper MS Dhoni is usually circumspect against the spinners but even he looked positive from the word go against the spinners with the asking rate going over 15 runs per over. Unfortunately for CSK, a clever bit of bowling from Yuzvendra Chahal saw Dhoni being dismissed pretty quickly.

After that, the duo of Isuru Udana and Chris Morris rounded off the match in a proffessional manner. Morris, in particular, was impressive on his RCB debut by picking up three wickets for the cost of just 19 runs. RCB's main Indian pacer Navdeep Saini was pretty economical on this dat while Washington Sundar starred during the initial overs like mentioned above. With this victory, RCB go to eight points and occupy the fourth spot in the points table.

19.6 Isuru Udana to Shardul Thakur, yorker on the leg stump, Thakur drills that towards long on for a single. Right then, that all wrap things up here as RCB secure a comprehensive win over CSK by 37 runs!
19.5 Isuru Udana to Deepak Chahar, full ball outside off, Chahar miscues the slog towards backward point for a single. An off cutter by Udana, Chahar gets the outside edge that is skied but lands safely.
19.4 Isuru Udana to Deepak Chahar, no run, off-cutter length ball outside off angling away, Chahar goes for the big heave across the line but misses yet again. This is some good stuff by Udana!

Over: 19 | Summary: 1 2 2 W 4 W Bowler: Chris Morris Score: 126/8
18.6 Chris Morris to Ravindra Jadeja, OUT! CAUGHT! Full toss on the off stump, Jadeja goes for the big heave on the on side but cannot connect well. Gurkeerat Singh Mann, who is patrolling the deep mid-wicket fence, pouches that comfortably and Morris has his third!
18.5 Chris Morris to Ravindra Jadeja, FOUR! Short ball on the leg stump, Jadeja gets inside the line of the ball and pulls that away for a boundary towards square leg!
Second time lucky for Morris!
A full toss this time and Morris has chipped it straight to Devdutt Padikkal at long-off. The youngster with a comfortable catch this time.
18.4 Chris Morris to Dwayne Bravo, OUT! CAUGHT! Redemption for Padikkal! Low full toss, Bravo makes room and goes for the big shot downtown. However, he does not get enough wood on it and ends up playing that right down the throat of Padikkal at long off!
Drop catch! Bravo survives!
Slower ball delivered pretty wide, Bravo looked to go big through the off-side but the ball only went high. Unfortunately for Morris, Devdutt Padikkal dropped the catch after covering the ground.
18.3 Chris Morris to Dwayne Bravo, DROPPED! length ball outside off, Bravo goes for the big shot but ends up slicing the ball in the air. Padikkal comes in from long off but is unable to hold onto it.
18.2 Chris Morris to Dwayne Bravo, yorker on the pads, Bravo drills that towards deep mid-wicket for a couple of runs. Brilliant stuff from Morris!
18.1 Chris Morris to Ravindra Jadeja, yorker outside off, Jadeja squeezes that out towards deep backward point for a single.
