Australia made this look like a veritable walk in the park albeit Regent Park appears to be quite a ways off from here in Birmingham. Australia beating England - isn't this the story we have heard over generations and visualised deeply?

While Aaron Finch and Shaun Marsh got the party underway for the Kangaroos at the top of the order, it was Ben Cutting and Dan Christian who sealed the deal for their team and punished their arch-enemies England for bowling poorly.

The latter were rather poor with the ball in hand and allowed the Aussies to cruise to a comfortable victory here. This win will give the Aussies a lot of confidence which they will hope to carry further into the tournament.

This will also give them the momentum they need to push forth for more positive results in this tournament. It is going to be interesting to watch Australia in the matches to come.
