That's all from our match center for now. This is Bala and Shashwat Kumar signing off. Do join us tomorrow as Sri Lanka and Bangladesh face off at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium. The live coverage starts at 03:30 p.m. IST, but we will have plenty of updates coming your way before that. And then there is the big one, the India-Pakistan encounter, live from 07:30 p.m. IST. Believe me, this is where you would want to be tomorrow. Bye-bye for the time being, and do get back here tomorrow!
So a night to forget for the West Indies. As skipper Kieron Pollard rightly pointed out, they have plenty of work to do in the batting front. Their net run rate has taken a hit. -3.97 will be really tough to recoup with four more top teams to play with. And the group is a deadly one with Bangladesh and Sri Lanka qualifying from the first round. West Indies will have to hit the winning ways to ensure that they don't have to rely on the NRR. England, on the other hand, have had a major boost to the tournament. They are up and running in the Super 12.
Eoin Morgan: This is as good as it gets. Full credit to the bowling unit. I don’t think wicketet was flush. We fielded well, took our catches. We got the match-ups all right. (Moeen Ali) It's down to the conditions. He used the conditions, used the lengths. He is someone who does the basics well. He finishes off matches for us. (He) hasn't bowled a lot or played in a lot of games, but we did have Ben Stokes or Sam Curran. He had a good IPL. Hope he can make a contribution throughout the tournament. (On Tymal Mills) I am delighted for Big T. He's as good as he has ever been with the ball. He is as fit as he has been, bowling fit, his ground fielding has improved a lot and he's at his best at the moment. Some of our catching was superb, full credit to the coaching staff who have drilled us for years. (On Dawid Malan) We were thinking about the net run rate and so sent in guys who could have a go from ball one. But it wasn't easy to have a go. Even Jos Buttler played a run a ball innings. I'm sure that he willll contribute to the team in the next few games.
Kieron Pollard: There is no way to explain (such a performance). It was not good enough. Starting the tournament, getting all out for 55 is just unacceptable. But, just have to pin it and move on. (On losing the warm-up games) The intensity is down during the warm-up games. Even when Afghanistan and Pakistan own, the intensity wasn't high. Yes, we haven’t batted well. We have to find a way to put a competitive score on the board. The batsmen tried to play some shots today but it didn't come off. It is what it is, we move on. Not panic, there won't be any panic. We accept it, what we did, take it as big men, it comes with the international sport. Obviously, we play a lot of T20 cricket, lot of cricket, so this is not new to anyone. With the experience, it is easy to move on. Once again, it's international sport, we accept it. In this group, each game is important. So we move on to the next game. (On Akeal Hosein) He was given the opportunity due to Fabian's injury. Sometimes we wonder why it happens. But given the opportunity, he did well. He has done it in domestic cricket and the CPL. Being able to do it at the international level is excellent. Energy even while defending a small total was excellent.
Moeen Ali: (The catch) I just stuck my hands out and you like holding onto catches like that. It gave me confidence and settled my nerves a little bit. Obviously helps when there are so many left-handers. I wasn't as nervous because I have been playing cricket. I think the role in the CSK team is very good. I feel I am always involved and it was good playing in those big games before the World Cup
England win by 6 wickets with 11.4 overs remaining!

West Indies showed a bit of fight back with the ball, led by the young spinner. They continued chipping away with wickets, but all it meant was that the inevitable was delayed. England completed an easy chase, not as convincingly as Morgan would have liked.

Jos Buttler opened the innings and remained in the crease at the end even as he lost some partners at the other end. He kept the pace even without taking risks, just waiting for the loose deliveries coming his way. His calm and composed skipper was there at the other end to give him company at the end.

The catch from Akeal Hosein to dismiss Livingstone would be the highlight of the match for the West Indies. There wasn't much else for them to salvage. Hosein stood out among the bowlers as well, finishing with figures of 2 for 24 in his four overs. Ravi Rampaul picked a wicket and Obed McCoy looked good with his variations.
8.2 Kieron Pollard to Jos Buttler, FOUR! THAT WILL BE THAT! Slower bumper outside off stump. Buttler shuffles across his stumps, waits for the ball and then swats it past deep square leg and fine leg for a boundary to seal the deal! What a warning shot England have fired today!
8.1 Kieron Pollard to Jos Buttler, back of a length delivery outside off stump. Buttler sits deep in his crease and carves that one past backward point for a couple of runs. Good effort on the fence!
Looks like Kieron Pollard himself is coming on to have a bowl. Right-arm medium, over the stumps.
West Indies have planned well against the England captain, going short against him. He almost held out to Hayden Walsh Jr. at deep backward square leg there. But he bats on at the end of it all.

7.6 Obed McCoy to Eoin Morgan, another bumper at the batter on leg stump. Morgan has a swipe across the line but is late on the stroke as the ball sneaks past the bat
7.5 Obed McCoy to Eoin Morgan, slower delivery on a back of a length on middle and off stump. Morgan goes back and plonks the ball down the ground towards the bowler
7.4 Obed McCoy to Eoin Morgan, OH! NEARLY! FOUR AS WELL! Dug into the track on middle and off stump. Morgan rocks back and hammers it towards deep square leg, where Hayden Walsh Jr flies but can't grab it. Goes for four too!
7.3 Obed McCoy to Jos Buttler, slower delivery on a full length on middle and leg stump. Buttler comes forward and pushes the ball down the ground for another easy single
7.2 Obed McCoy to Eoin Morgan, banged into the track at the batter on middle and leg stump. Morgan hops up and drops the ball into the leg side before haring across to the other end
7.1 Obed McCoy to Jos Buttler, back of a length delivery on off stump. Buttler gets up on his toes and runs the ball down to the sweeper at third man for another easy single
Obed McCoy will continue.
End of a brilliant spell from Akeal Hosein. Came into the squad at the last minute after Fabian Allen got injured, and has impressed one and all with his effort with the ball.
