That's all we have from this game as I, Lavil Saldanha, alongside Rajarshi Das, take your leave. Do check Sportskeeda for the latest in the world of sports as we look to catch with you all soon. SEE YA!
Harry Brook (captain, England): Pretty phenomenal performance from the boys. I have been saying them the same what I have been saying to the press. Today we had the wind and it helped bowl in the legside or offside. Not concerning because we got 400 runs, we have been speaking about the 4 batters getting 50+ scores and if one of them clicks off they need to play big. We have got so much power in the batting line, Duckett gave a good start and it gave the batters down the order to go after. You saw Bethell and Jacksy play the way they did. He bowled beautifully in the powerplay, the others was also bowling good gas as well. It is night to get the series underway in good fashion.
Shai Hope (captain, West Indies): We didn't get the early inroads we were after. In that situation, when you don't take wickets you will always find yourselves playing catch up in the middle. Sometimes, you need to back your skills and I though we pulled things back well. They were striking at about 8 and Justin and Motie pull things back well. We gave away a bit too much in the end but we will try and comeback in this series. It is more down to the execution, the skill set is there but it is about executing when it matters. We have the bowlers in the line up and they will execute it soon. We have a pretty striong batting line up, we didn't start well in the powerplay and playing catch up is going to be tough. Chasing 400 is tough and you needed a big start, which we unfortunately didn't get
Jacob Bethell has been adjudged Player of The Match! Here's what he has to say: It's pretty special to play here for the first time for England, to top it off with a win and a great performance was special. I enjoy batting in the middle-order, today was a very easy situation to come into. We were well on top when I walked in. It was about not giving a cluster of wickets away, seeing the time through with Jos and building something special with Jacks there. Once I'm in, I can hit a few to the boundary. I'm not too fussed about taking a few at the start, but dot balls aren't good for a batter's mind. If the bowlers bowl and I get a few boundaries early, that's great. I learned a lot, found that experience (IPL) beneficial for my game. I feel like my game is a lot better than when I went to India. Virat (Kohli) was great with the information and how he goes about batting, all I had to do was ask. Being part of that tournament is special. Lot of noise around that tournament, really special.
7:41 pm local time, 12:11 am IST: England win by 238 runs
A comprehensive bowling performance from England. The West Indies had to chase down a huge total, which also helped them, but credit to their bowlers for being on top of their game and knocking off wickets at timely intervals. The West Indies will want to get the bowling right in the next game and come back and win the game.
The chase once again saw the openers fall in no time. Then came in the man in form for the West Indies, Keacy Carty. WI's Player of the Match and the Series in their last outing, had a good start, but couldn't play the big knock as was expected of him. So did Shai Hope, who got a start and failed to convert it into a big score. From there on, a procession started, which only stopped when Jayden Seales scored some runs on board. The number 11 had some fun before Alzarri Joseph was bowled through the gate, and the fun ended.
England put on a fine act, using five bowlers and ending the chase in just over half the time. Jamie Overton and Saqib Mahmood picked up three wickets each, and one of the most experienced bowlers in this XI, Adil Rashid, made his presence felt by picking up two scalps to his name as well. Brydon Carse and Jacob Bethell picked up a wicket each as every bowler ended with a scalp in their name.
Let's see what the captains and the Player of the Match have to say about this game
Alzarri Joseph has been dismissed for 12 runs off 19 balls
26.2 Adil Rashid to Alzarri Joseph, THE WRONG 'UN DOES IT, and England go 1-up in the 3-match ODI series! Tossed up outside off stump, Joseph looked to play for the line and prod at it. The ball turned in, slipped past bat and pad and crashed onto the set of fibre behind. As clinical as they get from the hosts!
26.1 Adil Rashid to Alzarri Joseph, on a length around off, skids through to the batter. Joseph looked to clip it away, the ball hit his waist and traveled to leg slip
Pace on and despite that, Seales has done a fine job here of making England pay for bringing in one too many players inside the circle. He has raced away here to a good score and he could bat along and get his first career 50 here
26.0
25.6 Brydon Carse to Jayden Seales, appeal for LBW... pitched outside leg stump. Muted appeals at best too. Pitched up from over the wicket, Seales looked to clip it leg side and missed out
25.5 Brydon Carse to Jayden Seales, on a fuller length, pace off, down leg. The ball clips the pad as Seales misses the flick
25.4 Brydon Carse to Jayden Seales, THUMPED DOWN THE GROUND! Good length, wide of off. Seales made his mind up on giving it a whack, hits it into the gap at mid on and is now the highest scorer this innings!
25.3 Brydon Carse to Alzarri Joseph, good length, angled in towards off stump. Joseph clips it uppishly past the fielder at square leg. Gets a single to the man in the deep
25.2 Brydon Carse to Jayden Seales, on a back of length, just outside off. Seales moves across and fends it behind square. The fielder there dives to his right and makes the stop
25.1 Brydon Carse to Jayden Seales, good, hard length outside off from round the wicket. Seales looks to jab it away, chops it onto his pad
Brydon Carse [5-0-33-1] comes back into the attack
England may want to bring pace into the attack here. They, in their minds, have already won this game and will be looking to close it once and for all

24.6 Adil Rashid to Alzarri Joseph, appeal for LBW... nothing from umpire Saggers. On a length outside off, angled in. Joseph looked to hoick across the line, missed and was struck high up on the pad
