Sarah Glenn (Player of the Match): We did really well tonight as a unit with bat and ball. The crowd has been great too, great day overall. It was difficult to grip the ball, so I had to take my time with what I'm trying to do. The bowlers did really well to work with the conditions on offer. She's (Ecclestone) a crucial player for our time. Despite being the same age, I'm looking up to her, get notes and try to learn from her all the time. (For the chase) We knew if he played our game, we will be fine. The openers did that really well and Capsey came in to play her own game to get us over the line.

Amy Jones (England Captain): It's important to start well and I am pleased. I am very quiet in all aspects of life. The girls have stepped up really well today and that made my job easier. We restricted them to a good score. The pitch was skiddy. It's an unbelievable top 3 we have and it's good to see that they have carried their good form and produced a great batting performance

Harmanpreet Kaur (Indian captain): It's not great to play when conditions are not in your favor. I think we played forcefully here because the conditions weren't perfect. The girls were ready to play despite the conditions and I'm really happy with the efforts in that regard. I know it wasn't 100 percent conditions to play cricket. The ground was wet and players could have gotten injured. We lost one of our main bowlers due to injury. That's not ideal. (In the next two games) We have to play good cricket. The next couple of games are important for us and we will bounce back strongly.

A thoroughly dominating performance from England women as they outplayed India in all departments of the game and emerged victorious with no fuss. Sophia Dunkley got out in the first over but it was deemed as the no-ball before Shafali Verma dropped a sitter to hand her another lifeline. She capitalised on India's shambolic fielding performance and went on to score a half-century.

To make matters worse, the bowling wasn't good either as none of the batters really put any pressure on the batters. Due to some brilliant work from Richa Ghosh, Sneh Rana broke the opening stand but the in-form Capsey played some incredible shots and the partnership between her and Dunkley helped England to chase this target easily and to wrap up things very quickly
