So, that is it from me, Karthik Raj and my co-commentator, Shashwat Kumar from this game which saw a superb comeback from the Indian side. Do join Sportskeeda's coverage of the second ODI on Friday to see if the Men in Blue can seal the series.
Shikhar Dhawan: Very happy with my performance. More than that, our team won. Was doing good gym sessions, running sessions and net sessions. All the smart work paid off. We knew the ball was swinging and seaming as well, so we knew we had to stay at the wicket and play close to the body. I'm not a person who gets too sad or too happy. Wasn't in a rush to score hundred. Unfortunately it went to hand, that's alright. It happens. When I wasn't playing I was like how I could give to the team. I was being a good 12th man, running around, serving water. In my head it was that when I get an opportunity, I will grab it. (On not missing out on a hundred the next time) Hopefully yeah!
Shikhar Dhawan has been named as the 'Man of the Match'
Virat Kohli: This is one of our sweetest wins in the recent past as we haven't had such great results. This one is right up there with any other. Getting nine wickets so quickly is outstanding. To come back into the game the way they did is brilliant. Prasidh started it after conceding a few runs early on but everyone gave away runs in that period. I'm a really, really proud man right now.  The team showed great character and intensity. As I mentioned in the past as well, we promote players who have intent. Special mention to Shikhar's innings as well. KL as well, back among the runs. Want to back the people who we know will go out and do a selfless job. (On winning even in the absence of a few front-line players) For every spot we have two-three players available. Great signs for Indian cricket. Right now we are on the right path and have a big pool of players to choose from. Shikhar's body language was amazing when he wasn't playing. He was bringing water for us and doing a lot of stuff.  Today he deserved the result. He batted in the most toughest phase today and got 95 which is more valuable than what the scoreboard shows. The ploy was that when we got to 100-partnership, I told Shikhar I'll take the bowling on. Few wickets pushed us back a little bit. It's a fair assessment (that we were below par). Under lights as well, the ball was coming on nicely.
Eoin Morgan: We did a lot of things right today. Wicket was brilliant as well which made for an entertaining game. There was something for the seamers but if you got in, you could score heavily too. Our bad days with the bat make it look worse than usual. Need to execute better than we did today. When you look at our top seven in particular, we've all scored under 60 ball hundreds. That's the way we want to play. With one eye on the World Cup, we want to try and push the envelope in that regard. Sometimes it doesn't work. But for us it's better to lose like that than losing by 10-20 runs playing in a different manner. That's the way we'll continue playing. Fitness levels have moved the game forward, bats have moved the game forward. Important for us to dictate the way we play and reinforce the method that's worked for us. Our bowlers did an outstanding job with traditional Test lengths and line that proved effective. So, we were happy chasing 318. We didn't probably play well enough to take advantage of the dew, which is disappointing because the toss is an advantage here in India.
Time for the Post-match presentation.
It will be interesting to see who will bag the 'Man of the Match' award as there were several key performers for India. Shikhar Dhawan made 98 runs, Krunal Pandya came up with a stellar all-round display while the duo of Prasidh Krishna and Shardul Thakur did superbly to force India back into the game.
Prasidh Krishna: It didn't start off well, and they came hard at us because we bowled poorly, but we had belief. We picked wickets in a cluster and that helped us a lot. I understood after my third over, I can't bowl full, and then I hit good length areas, and let the ball do the rest. IPL has helped me, but it's important in a 10-over format there is a chance to come back. I'd like to be known as a hit-the-deck bowler, and I'm trying to get the length more consistently. I hope I can be the partnership breaker for long, because the team needed it at the time, so I was happy to do it. The talk from the beginning was that if we get one wicket it'll change things around and that's exactly what happened.
Prasidh has his fourth and that brings an end to England's monumental collapse. Prasidh's 54-4 are the best figures by an Indian bowler on debut. No one would have envisioned this result after Jonny Bairstow took apart Prasidh for 22 runs in the sixth over. That over opened the floodgates as Bairstow and Roy went after the likes of Krunal Pandya, Shardul Thakur and Kuldeep Yadav.

Bairstow raced onto 80 off 51 balls while England also mustered up 131 off 14 overs. Out of nowhere, Virat Kohli brought back Prasidh and the start wasn't good as Roy struck a boundary off the first ball. The fortunes changed as Prasidh got his man off the very next delivery. The 25-year-old dismissed Ben Stokes in his very next over to give India a slight chance of a comeback. The experienced pair of Bairstow and Morgan stitched a 32-run partnership but the former gave away his wicket while trying to reach his milestone in style. Shardul Thakur got his second by getting the better of Morgan too a couple of overs later. He didn't stop there as Jos Buttler became his third victim after three deliveries.

Yet again, there was a mini partnership between Sam Billings and Moeen Ali but Kohli brought back Prasidh once again and reaped rewards immediately. Even though, Billings' wicket gave India a pathway to the England lower-order, it was Moeen Ali's dismissal off Bhuvneshwar Kumar's bowling that turned the tide completely in India's favour. Soon, Sam Curran also became Krunal Pandya's first ODI victim while Bhuvneshwar removed Adil Rashid with a peach. Eventually, Tom Curran also perished while trying to go big with just Mark Wood for company. His dismissal sealed a stunning 68-run victory which was a due reward for the hosts' composure under pressure.

42.1 Prasidh Krishna to Tom Curran, OUT! PRASIDH FINISHES THINGS OFF! Full delivery outside off stump and Curran throws his bat at it. He loses all shape though and slices it terribly towards the fielder at third man, who comes in off the fence and completes a smart catch! Those are also the best bowling figures any Indian debutant has ever produced in ODI cricket!
Prasidh Krishna, is back into the attack.
Tom Curran will keep the strike. He has no other option with England requiring 67 off 48 balls.
Over: 42 | Summary: 1 0 0 1 0 1 Bowler: Bhuvneshwar Kumar Score: 251/9
41.6 Bhuvneshwar Kumar to Tom Curran, back of a length delivery on leg stump. Curran gives himself a bit of room and punches the ball towards the sweeper at deep point for one
41.5 Bhuvneshwar Kumar to Tom Curran, OH! Back of a length delivery on middle and off stump. Curran swings for teh fences but only manages to connect with the fresh Pune air
41.4 Bhuvneshwar Kumar to Mark Wood, full delivery on middle and off stump. Wood jabs at it and the ball flies off the inner half of the bat towards the fielder at fine leg for a single
Mark Wood is just dead-batting here. It won't bother India at all.
41.3 Bhuvneshwar Kumar to Mark Wood, back of a length delivery just outside off stump. Wood gets onto the back foot and defends the ball into the off side towards extra cover
41.2 Bhuvneshwar Kumar to Mark Wood, slower delivery on a length well outside off stump. Wood gets onto the front foot and then lets the ball go through to the keeper. That bounced again before reaching Rahul!
41.1 Bhuvneshwar Kumar to Tom Curran, back of a length delivery on middle and leg stump. Curran gets onto the back foot and nudges that one into the vast open spaces for a single
