IND vs ENG Live Score and Commentary

Done and dusted! The Indian team takes a lap of honour, acknowledging the fans who came on a Monday morning to witness just thirty minutes of play. It took little time for Ashwin to clean up the remaining four wickets and end England's pain. An innings defeat must hurt the tourists a lot, considering that they put 400 on the board in the first innings. The two teams will now meet in Chennai (weather permitting) for the final match of the series. We'll be back with the live commentary for the fifth Test. Till then, it's a goodbye!

And that will be the last ball of the day as the nightwatchman does his role of protecting the batsman perfectly. Even though Jake Ball is out, Jos Buttler will now join Jonny Bairstow on day five as the visitors begin an improbable task of avoiding defeat. Still trailing by 49 runs, England will need to bat and bat long if they are avoid a defeat, but first they need 50 runs to avoid an innings defeat. So join us again tomorrow for all the action from the final day's play.

Preview:

With a 2-0 lead, India will be going in the Mumbai Test with the aim of making it three wins in a row. The hosts have displayed fine all-round cricket in the last two Tests, winning the last two Tests in a comprehensive manner. For England, winning making a comeback in this series will be an uphill task, given they are marred with injuries and has had to make constant changes to their squad. India, however, hasn't been immune to injuries and has not played the same eleven in the last three Tests.

India:

After Ajinkya Rahane got hit on his index finger a day before the start of the Mumbai Test, India had to rush in Manish Pandey as a replacement. India's premier fast bowler Mohammed Shami has also been troubled with knee injuries, and the team management has asked Shardul Thakur to come to Mumbai as a backup to Shami. India is also likely to stay with Parthiv Patel as the wicket-keeper, but he will drop lower down the order to make way for KL Rahul in the opener's spot. Karun Nair should also retain his spot and is likely to replace Rahane in the middle order. Also, if Shami is unable to achieve full fitness, Bhuvneshwar Kumar will be taking his spot in the eleven.

England:

For the visitors, Stuart Broad has a 50-50 chance to play in Mumbai. He is yet to fully recover from his foot injury, but he did take part in light practice, displaying positive signs of playing in Mumbai.  After Haseeb Hameed injured his finger and had to leave the tour mid-way, Keaton Jennings was called up and is likely to make his debut in Mumbai. England is also likely to go in with four pacers and two spinners.

Pitch condition

The Mumbai pitch is likely to spin, much like other venues, but the spin will not be alarming before the start of day three.

England (probable) 1 Alastair Cook (capt), 2 Keaton Jennings, 3 Joe Root, 4 Moeen Ali, 5 Jonny Bairstow (wk), 6 Ben Stokes, 7 Jos Buttler, 8 Chris Woakes, 9 Adil Rashid, 10 Jake Ball 11 James Anderson
