Ireland have made it to the Super 12s, we will see none more of the West Indies in this competition, and now Scotland and Zimbabwe will fight for the remaining spot in Group B, the coverage of which you can follow here. Andrew Balbirnie, Ireland captain: (On the win and the qualification) It means everything, we had a really disappointing loss last year at the same stage, and we did a lot of thinking, a lot of things changed back home, different personnel came in, a new coach, we set out a couple of things we wanted to do as a team, the way we wanted to play. losing the first game, and then coming back and beating a two-time champion in a must-win game, just couldn't be prouder. It was a pretty emotional finish to the game, we're just delighted as a group. Once you put yourself in that situation, who knows what can happen? In T20 cricket, a lot of things can happen on your day. We could be playing the next game here, we've played three games here already, so that can work in our favour. We're just delighted. We want to pit ourselves against the best in the world and who knows where it'll take us. It was a really good wicket, he's one of our best-ever batters, Paul (Stirling), the way he played today it easy for me, and the way I played made it easy for him. To get a partnership like that in such a huge game just kind of dents it a bit, dents that total, and then Lorcan (Tucker) came in and played so freely, it was great. It was an all-round performance, The bowlers were superb, the wicket was good, and it's just a really proud day to be Irish, I suppose.

Nicholas Pooran (West Indies captain): It's tough. We haven't batted well in this tournament at all. It was a good batting surface and coming up here to make 145 wasn't enough. It was always going to be difficult to ask the bowlers to defend this total. It was a big challenge. Congratulations to Ireland. They batted fantastically and they bowled well today. (Positives?) There's a lot of positives. Jason is back and bowling well, Brandon King has batted wonderfully and Alzarri Joseph is stepping up with the ball for us. It's really nice to see. This is obviously a learning experience for us here. We are disappointed for our fans back home and most importantly for ourselves. It's definitely hurting. It's hurting all of us, including myself. I feel like I disappointed my guys with the way I performed as well but we live to see another day.

Gareth Delany is the Player of the Match: It's an incredible day for us. This time last year we were sitting around the dressing room but we've turned things around. The way we got over the line with the passion we did is a great feeling. Our spin bowling coach came up with a plan that we're going to keep it pretty simple. We knew they would come at us and we just held our own. It's a dream come true (to go through to the next round). We're excited about what we will be able to do in the next few weeks and we're just delighted, to be honest. (Carrying the momentum forward) Curtis and George got us into a position to qualify in the previous game and the rest of the boys stepped up today. Hopefully, we can take this forward into the next round.

Look at the celebrations among the Irish supporters and the Ireland camp! Unbridled happiness and glee among all of them, what a moment for this Ireland cricket team! What a turnaround from the men in Green! They were absolutely humbled by the Zimbabwe bowling attack and Sikandar Raza in their first game of the tournament, but since then, they pulled up their socks, chased down a steep total against Scotland, and today, have absolutely thumped the 2-time World Champions and knocked them out of the competition!

The Ireland top-order gave absolutely no chance to the West Indies in their quest to defend the total of 146! Paul Stirling and Andrew Balbirnie saw the first over from Obed McCoy off, having a taste of the wicket, and then as soon as Akeal Hosein was being brought into the attack, the duo absolutely exploded to life! The runs kept coming in 10s or more almost off all the overs of the powerplay, Ireland went on to register their highest score in the powerplay overs of a T20 World Cup competition, and the West Indies were beaten right then and there! Akeal Hosein managed to dismiss Balbirnie after the Ireland skipper cut one towards Mayers at point, but Lorcan Tucker can in and found the boundary straight away, keeping the tempo going! Stirling went on to reach a half-century having navigated through the middle-overs. Tucker was out caught and bowled off Odean Smith, but it turned out that the West Indies all-rounder had overstepped. Ireland then took it slowly, did it in singles, and once Tucker went inside out over cover off the 3rd delivery of the 18th over, Ireland broke through to the next round of the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2022!

17.3 Obed McCoy to Lorcan Tucker, FOUR! THE IRISH HAVE DONE IT! And haven't they done it in some style too? It's one of the most comprehensive performances they've produced in recent times to send the two-time champions back home.
