It is scarcely possible to believe that a T20 match took 46 overs to get a result but it is exactly what happened in this game today. After three super overs, it is the Hubli Tigers who prevail in what should rank as one of the most evenly-matched contest in the history of the Maharaja Trophy.

The target of 165 looked a bit under par at the halfway stage but a perfect start from Vidwath Kaverappa started off brilliantly, bagging the wicket of LR Chethan in the very first over. Niranjan Naik and Mayank Agarwal stitched together a crucial stand of 41 runs and it came at a quick time which allowed the. To get in par with the required rate.

Shubham Hedge also departed without bothering the scorers as the pressure seemed to be on the Bengaluru Blasters. Shivkumar Rakshith and Mayank Agarwal departed at crucial junctures of the game but by the time, Mayank departed he had scored a fluent half-century and laid a bit of a platform for the lowe middle order and the lower order.

Aniruddha Joshi and Gneshwar Naveen batted brilliantly towards the final others and almost got their side off the finish line. When Naveen departed in the final over, the equation read 2 required off 4 deliveries. Lavish Kaushal couldn't put bat to ball which eventually took the game to the super over. Runs were few and far between in the first two super overs with 11 and 9 not getting chased down. Eventually it was the Hubli Tigers who managed to prevail in the final super over of the match.
