Karun Nair and the Mysore Warriors get a pay cheque of Rs 15 Lakh and are set to lift the trophy as well.

Karun Nair (Mysore Warriors captain): "First of all, I would like to congratule Kalyani Bengaluru Blasters for having an amazing season. They topped the table. I would like to congratulate our management, our families, our support staff and all the players for this. Winning the trophy. That was the only thing we had in our mind at the start of the season. To imagine doing it and to end up on the winning side, there can be nothing better than that. Ofcourse, it does. There was a great mix of seniors and youngsters. Have to thank the KSCA to conduct the tournament in such a manner. They are one of the most passionate owners. They don't put pressure on any of us, let us do our job, take care of everything we need. This is the day we were waiting for and happy we are here to lift the trophy. The next step, I might have to get 600 runs to get some calls. I will be doing what I have to do and hopefully some calls will come."

Mayank Agarwal (Kalyani Bengaluru Blasters captain): "Nothing much to be honest. They outplayed us. Congratulations to them. I thought we played some brilliant cricket, lot of notable performances. The character, fith, resilience to come from where we were in the last season. Lot to take forward. Players felt really good, they played some really good cricket. We will have a small debrief about today's game, but that's about it. Not a lot of them get limelight, but they put in a lot of efforts to prepare the boys to go about it. We've played some exciting cricket, the three super overs, chasing 228, defending 140. Lot for us to take home."

Karun Nair: "Had an amazing season from the start. Kudos to the team management for picking this team. That was the first part and to produce the results we did on the field. The youngsters also put in some amazing performances. I have been really playing well for the past one year. Been preparing for a long time to do things like this. All I am thinking is one match at a time, one ball at a time. Our planning was always to keep wickets in hand and go hard in the back-end. They have got a great death bowling attack, so wanted our best batters to face them. We have had a great mixture of seniors and youngsters. Someone like Venky (Venkatesan) played a huge role in our triumph. Hope he is fine now."

Jagadeesha Suchith: "It has been a long journey. We had an opportunity to have a win last year but it is an unbelievable feeling now. This is my eighth season. Credit to the management for putting such a good team. All the senior players stepped up. We were not complacent were confident in our own abilities."

Harshil Dharmani: "It's a great feeling. First season coming in. It was always a dream to come and play. The role was clear, with the big hitters coming in, my role was to play the anchor. They gave me that clarity."

Krishnappa Gowtham: "Dreamt at the start. We all came together and tried our best. It's just the mindset. My daughter told me not to be grumpy. It's about how you make the wicket. The wicket's playing really well. You've got to make the best of your experience."

What a clinical performance from the Mysore Warriors. Once they posted 207/5 batting first, it was always going to be uphill task in a final even after considering the small dimensions at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium. The promising Vidyadhar Patil gave the perfect start to Mysore Warriors' defense as he dismissed Mayank Agarwal in the first over before sending back Bhuvan Raju in the third.

Another young seamer Dhanush Gowda also got himself involved as he struck off his very first ball to get rid of S Rakshith. At one end, LR Chethan continued to battle on with some big hits but wickets kept falling at the other. K Gowtham struck twice dismissing Shubhang Hegde and the half centurion, Chethan as well. The impact player, Deepak Devadiga also came up with an impressive spell getting the wicket of Suraj Ahuja. Vidyadhar came back to get a third scalp in the form of Aniruddha Joshi while Karthik CA sent back Naveen MG. In the end, Kranthi Kumar provided some fireworks albeit in vain as he scored an unbeaten 39 off 21 balls. Eventually, Mysore Warriors triumphed by 45 runs to lift their maiden Maharaja T20 Trophy title.
