Just like all the other ECS matches,an artifical turf will be used for the Rome leg too. The pitch will assist the batters as the artifical pitch allows the ball to skid and reach the batsmen at a comfortable height. As for the bowlers, they will need to constantly employ change ups in pace, line and length to keep the batsmen guessing.
According to Accuweather, there will be plenty of sunshine today and the maximum temperature will be 27 degree celsius with no chance of rain. Unlike the Rome leg and its first day, the rain-gods will stay away in Bulgaria.
MU Dons will have the advantage of having played a game on the strip already and it will be looking to milk the advatage to its full effect. Barbarian CC will be starting their campaign here and will have their task cut out here.

The ECS juggernaut has moved on to Bulgaria and in the second match of the day MU Dons will be up against Barbarian CC and both teams will be looking to start off on a positive note. The pitch so far looks like a belter for batsmen, given they spend some time in the middle.
They could never get going in the chase as they fell victim to some really good powerplay bowling of MU Dons as they could gather only 15 runs in the powerplay. Tom Omolo (29 runs* in 27 balls) was the only player to cross double digits as he carried his bat throughout the innings. They were helped by 22 extras from the MU Dons which helped them gather 67 runs in 10 overs.
MU Dons have made themselves a force to reckon with as their bowling unit took the wheels off the Barbarians CC batting order with Karthik Sreekumar (2/14 in 2 overs) and T. Suresh (1/10 in 2 overs) bowling economically and restricting them to a paltry67/4 in 10 overs as they win the match by 82 runs
That's all we have from the live coverage of this match as I, Lavil Saldanha and my colleague, Maanas Upadhyay, sign off. Do check Sportskeeda for the live commentaries of the league and all sports related articles. Until next match, GOODBYE!!
9.6 A Khan to I Katzarski, length ball outside off, the batsman rocks back and slaps it down the ground towards mid on. A slight fumble by the fielder there allows them to take the single. That brings an end to a dominating win by the MU Dons as they beat Barbarian CC by a massive margin of 82 runs!

9.3 A Khan to T Omolo, no run, yorker on the pads and the batsman just about manages to bock that out.
9.3 A Khan to T Omolo, WIDE ball sliding down the leg side.
9.2 A Khan to T Omolo, SIX! Full toss on the pads, the batsman flicks that uppishly off his pads. The fielder at deep square leg takes a brilliant running catch but goes past the boundary rope in the process!

Runs have dried up as the Barbarians CC could only gather 3 runs in the over. Its all over for them now as they will look to get across the score of 70 runs in the remaining balls to improve the Net Run Rate.
Barbarians CC are on 42/4 after 8 overs
