Multan Sultans 183/5 (20 ov)
Quetta Gladiators 73/10 (12.1 ov)
Multan Sultans won by 110 runs.
Player of the match: Shan Masood
A couple of entertaining game beckons in the PSL with five teams vying for four spots in the playoffs. It's all to play for with two games in store for us on Thursday. But until then, this is Dwijesh Reddy along with my colleague Pradeep Somashekar signing off! Goodbye and take care!
ICYMI: Mohammad Rizwan is the current leader in the runscorers charts in this PSL with 429 runs as he collects the Hanif Mohammad cap!
Mohammad Rizwan (Multan Sultans captain): I thank Allah for my performance and the team's success. The tournament is long and it's all about momentum. We couldn't find it in Karachi but we have gelled well in the UAE. We have a few pleasant headaches but it's all about the opposition strengths and the conditions when it comes to the team composition!
Shan Masood: The presence of Rizwan, Rossouw and the other in-form batsmen makes my life easier and the talk was always for the set batsmen to make it big. I'm ready to get the runs for my team regardless of my position in the T20 format and get my team to a winning position
Shan Masood is the man of the match for his sparkling fifty at the top of the Multan Sultans batting unit!
Sarfaraz Ahmed (Quetta Gladiators captain): The team combination hasn't come right with overseas players not being available throughout the tournament. We wanted to restrict them to a low total but we did get them to a par score with the ball. But we couldn't get the start we wanted, which led to our loss. The importance of overseas players is massive and we will look into it in the coming season.
Multan Sultans beat Quetta Gladiators by 112 runs!

Beat is a soft expression of how the match has unfolded today at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium. After being set a target of 184 by Rizwan and co, Quetta Gladiators needed a big knock from one or two of their batsmen, which never arrived.

Although Jake Weatherald (19 off 10) got off the blocks with a flurry of boundaries, the bowlers rallied around Imran Khan's twin strikes. As soon as Delport fell to Imran Khan, wickets continued to fall with Usman Khan (12 off 14) running himself out courtesy of a mix-up with captain Sarfaraz Ahmed.

But not even Sarfaraz nor Azam Khan were able to muster a fight as Imran Tahir struck as many as three times in just 12 balls! But it was a team effort with all five bowlers finding themselves amongst the wickets. Shahnawaz Dhani, who picked the final wicket, now jumps to the top of the wicket-takers charts and has emerged as a serious prospect for the Pakistan National side.

With that loss, Quetta is out of contention for a playoff spot as Multan climb into a top-four spot for the first time this PSL. With form on their side and Karachi in the kind of form that they are in, Multan holds the edge in this dogfight.

12.1 Shahnawaz Dhani to Zahir Khan, OUT! CAUGHT! ALL OVER! Dhani finishes things for Sultans as he picks up his first wicket of the game and Gladiators are bowled out here and win by a massive margin! Length delivery on the outside off as Zahir makes room and the slices it but it was in the air as the deep point fielder runs in and dives to take a brilliant catch and the misery ends for Gladiators who are out of the tournament with that loss.
Another over from Tahir results in a wicket as the Sultans are now just one wicket away from inflicting a big loss upon the Gladiators! Sarfaraz wears a sorry look on his face and rightly so as the Gladiators have been decimated by the Sultans!

11.6 Imran Tahir to Zahir Khan, IN THE AIR BUT SAFE! Length delivery on the outside off as Zahir goes on his knee to send that one out of the park but skies it in the end and falls short of the long-off fielder, just a single
11.5 Imran Tahir to Mohammad Hasnain, tossed up, short into Hasnain on the off-stump as he goes on the backfoot and then pushes it through the covers for a single
With the wicket of Usman Shinwari, Imran Tahir is now the third-highest wicket-taker in T20 history!
11.4 Imran Tahir to Zahir Khan, good length on the middle and leg this time as Zahir backs away and then opens the face to tap it to the point region for a quick single
11.3 Imran Tahir to Zahir Khan, FOUR! Full delivery into Zahir on the outside off as he chances his arms and then whacks it over the extra cover region and runs away to the fence for a boundary
11.2 Imran Tahir to Zahir Khan, around the wicket to the left-hander, length into Zahir on the off-stump as he prods forward and then taps it to the point fielder for no run
Zahir Khan is the new and last batsman for Quetta Gladiators!
11.1 Imran Tahir to Usman Shinwari, OUT! LBW! That's another flipper and Usman is caught dead in front. Flipper into Usman on the middle and off as he goes on the backfoot to defend but misses, raps on the back pad and a massive appeal by Tahir and the Umpire says YES immediately.

Usman immediately reviews! THREE REDS and Usman has to make his way back here.
An eventful over despite the fate of the match already sealed. Usman Shinwari and Hasnain should throw their bat around although not sure how long they would survive against the guile of Imran Tahir, who cannot do any wrong today!

Quetta needs 118 runs from 54 balls!
