Romario Shepherd: (First thoughts) I'm thankful for this opportunity! (On what his conversation was with Tim David before that last over) Tim was approaching his fifty, but, he told me not to worry about it and just keep looking for runs. And that gave me the license to take one of the fastest bowlers going around, on, and pick up those runs. Hopefully, I click like this right through the tournament from here. (On which side of his game he likes more- batting or bowling) I like to keep it 50-50, because the bowling is as much important to me as my batting. (On the secret to his power) I do have good food, so that always helps in generating the power!

Hardik Pandya (Mumbai Indians captain): (On being called the winning captain) I would like to have this feeling more often than not, but yes, everything clicked today. The bowling combinations, the execution of the plans all these were in place. (On whether this looks a more settled side with Suryakumar Yadav back) There will be a few tactical changes here and there, but, the core set-up in terms of our line-up will be very much this. (On Romario Shepherd) The difference was Romario Shepherd vs Delhi Capitals! He batted magnificently and powered the score over 230, indeed, what a knock from such an underrated player! (On why he didn't bowl) I'm alright, because I had things covered today, didn't decide to bowl. But I'll bowl when required.

Rishabh Pant (Delhi Capitals captain): Yeah definitely we were in contention but I feel we didn't score enough runs in the powerplay. We tried to chase it afterwards but when run rate goes over 14 15 it's very difficult to chase that consistently for a long period. One over here and there changes the momentum of the game. Either we can blame or try to work on that. I think the wicket was pretty good to bat on but the slower ones were sticking on the wicket. We will look to improve in the powerplay and death bowling I will see.

The target looked way too much at the mid-innings break and that's how it stayed in the end! But again, the final over blitzkrieg in the 1st innings proved costly!

Delhi Capitals were not all that quick in terms of scoring runs in the power play. They needed at least 60 runs in it when they got less than 50. After that, even with a lot of boundaries in there, they could not quite match up to the asking rate.

Prithvi Shaw and Abishek Porel put together an 88-run partnership for the 2nd wicket, both batters did well after starting off shakily but got out when they had to accelerate further. A failure from Rishabh Pant, with him deciding not to come out to bat at number 4, also did not help their cause.

However, Tristan Stubbs was highly impressive with his 71 not out at a strike rate of 284.00! With 3 fours and 7 sixes, he was the only batter who looked the part in the chase, with regards to the required rate. But he needed someone else too to help him out.

Gerald Coetzee and Mohammad Nabi bowled well. While the former bowled all his overs taking 4 wickets, Nabi bowled 2 but gave away only 17 runs off his finger-spinners.

But the star of the attack was once again Jasprit Bumrah! The yorkers he bowled today were phenomenal! That wicket with the delivery to get rid of a set Prithvi Shaw was a peach and will be watched by millions on loop around the world!

In a match that say well over 430 runs scored, he returned with figures of 2/22 in 4 overs! Quite clearly, a serious contender for Player of the Match is the ever-reliable speedster, who went on to take his 150th wicket in the IPL today!

So, with this win, the Mumbai Indians under Hardik Pandya, who didn't bowl today, get on the board and go level on points with Delhi Capitals after 4 games. The latter have now played 5 matches and lost 4 of them.

So, that last over of the 1st innings has proved to be the difference! Mumbai Indians will be relieved to pick up their first points!

19.4 Gerald Coetzee to Kumar Kushagra, WICKET! Kushagra goes for a golden duck on his IPL debut. Fullish-length delivery angling across Kushagra, he loses his shape while trying to swing across the line, doesn't get anywhere close to the contact he was after, gets a top edge from the outer half of the bat and a simple catch for Tilak Verma at the point region.

19.3 Gerald Coetzee to Lalit Yadav, WICKET! Mumbai Indians inch closer to their first win of the tournament. A well-directed short delivery from Coetzee, around the off-stump and didn't gave enough space to Lalit to free his arms, skidded off the surface and he ends up getting a top edge, Ishan Kishan had to run a fair distance but manages to cling onto that.
