That wraps up the T20I series then, we will see you for the Test matches which begin next week. This is Dwaipayan Mukherjee, signing off with my co-commentator Lavil Saldanha. See you around!
Matthew Wade, Australia captain : Our bowlers were unbelievable, was a clinical bowling performance. The way Short batted, it was fantastic. Everyone is enjoying their cricket. Everyone knows the World Cup's coming up. We have a good batting line up and the bowlers are doing a good job attack, it's nice to see the depth in the side. Credit goes to the support staff for their homework. This venue, wasn't a happy hunting ground for us before today, but the bowlers got some help, it was a really good performance.
Mitchell Santner, New Zealand captain: Yeah, beaten by a better side. They have shown us their quality, first match was a close one and I think we got outclassed in the last 2 matches. We have shown some good stuff throughout the series. In the 2nd game, we had done well to pull them back to 170 and then with the bat, we kind of underperformed and that is an area that we would look to improve. The depth of our squad is good, moving forward to the WC, there will be slower pitches, different tactics will be needed and we know we have it in us to make those small adjustments to ensure we are always putting our best foot forward, learning from our mistakes and executing well.
Mitchell Marsh, Player of the Series: Nice to contribute to the winning team, that is what we ask of all the players in our team. It is a great feeling to do well and nice to win a series in New Zealand. It is always a hard place to get the right results here. It was a fantastic effort to win 3-0. Our coaching staff, the group makes the job easy. It's a great bunch.
Matthew Short, Player of the Match: I am most comfortable while playing shots. I think it comes naturally to me. Was a strange game with rain around. Numerous stoppages to the game. Played plenty of shots though. It's such a strong squad, really grateful to play with these guys. There is so much to learn. Enjoyed batting, but I was nervous with the ball in the end.

100th win for Aussies in this format of the game. This match never had a fluent tempo to it. It was just one of those days. After New Zealand won the toss and chose to field first, it was a surprise to not see David Warner not play this one specially considering that he is one of the certainties for this team for the T20 World Cup in June and Aussies do not play any more matches before the marquee event in the USA and West Indies.
Smith departed early, Short showed that he can translate that stupendous Adelaide Strikers form into the international arena as well for a while with some sumptuous cricketing shots which would excite any lover of this sport. Maxwell came out and decided to go all guns blazing before the new Central Districts all-rounder in Josh Clarkson accounted for the Big show as his first international wicket. Rain breaks came and went, much to the exasperation of everyone involved and after the 3rd rain hiatus, the officials said it was enough for the Aussies and gave the home side 126 to chase in 10 overs.
The pick of the bowlers for the visitors today, with Pat Cummins being rested, had to be the tall left-armer in Spencer Johnson. He only gave away 10 runs from his 2 overs and cut any momentum that the home side were striving to achieve in the initial parts of the chase. It was all too much at the end as Wade successfully shifted around his bowlers as the Aussies complete the whitewash as we look forward to the Test series in a few days' time.

9.6 Matthew Short to Mark Chapman, FOUR, AUSTRALIA WIN! Full and fired into the leg stump, Chapman looks to go for the big shot but gets an inside edge and it runs down to fine leg for a boundary to end the game. That barely makes a difference as Australia wins the match by 27 runs and wins the T20I series 3-0

8.6 Nathan Ellis to Glenn Phillips, pinpoint yorker on the leg stump. Phillips knocks it towards square leg and can only manage a single. New Zealand need 43 runs in 6 balls!
8.5 Nathan Ellis to Glenn Phillips, FOUR! Length delivery going down the legside, Phillips runs it down towards fine leg and the fielder is just a spectator, who watches it go past him for a boundary
8.4 Nathan Ellis to Mark Chapman, length delivery outside the off stump. Chapman has a play and a miss. Phillips again bolts across to the other end and adds another run
8.3 Nathan Ellis to Glenn Phillips, low full toss from Ellis. Phillips fails to get his bat under that one and hits it down the ground to mid-off for a single
8.2 Nathan Ellis to Mark Chapman, back of a length delivery on the off stump. Slower one from Ellis and Chapman misses that one. Phillips bolts across to the other end and sneaks in a bye
