History makers...record breakers. This is a huge landmark in Bangladesh's cricketing history and look at the smiles on the players' faces. They will cherish this for quite some time. Pakistan, on the other hand, looked so rusty in the first test but came back strongly in the final one but couldn't capitalise on the start they had with the ball.
Bangladesh were much better in the crucial phases of this contest and deservedly completed the clean sweep. It's so much fun covering this game and hope you enjoyed it. Until next time, this is Pradeep and Pragadeesh signing off!
Shanto gets handed the trophy, he walks towards his players as they pose for the camera. Time for Bangladesh to celebrate, absolute scenes here in Pindi!
Najmul Hossain Shanto (Bangladesh captain): Well, it meant a lot for us. I can't express it in words. Before we came here, we wanted to win the series and I am happy about it. Very impressive with the way we worked behind the scenes and it shows their mentality - They want to win for their country. Shadman and Zakir batted brilliantly at the start and I hope they take it forward. India series is very important. Mushi Bhai and Shaki Bhai have been brilliant and they would work hard to do the same. Happy with Mehidy too and I am sure the entire unit will do well in the upcoming series. We will celebrate as a unit.
Shan Masood (Pakistan captain): We haven't learnt our lessons. I am extremely disappointed. The story has been the same since the Australia series. We should be better at finishing games. We could've bowled well in both games. We let them come back from 26-6 and it happened during my tenure in the last four matches. Test Cricket demands a lot of fitness and it doesn't matter whether you are a batter or a bowler. We lost the first day due to weather but we need to convert the starts into a big score. We were scoring 30s and 40s but that's not enough. We need to learn from the mistakes that we committed before the England series. We have a month to work on
Mehidy Hasan Miraz is the Player of the Series (155 runs and 10 wickets)! Here's what he has to say: I would like to thank the almighty, delighted to get the opportunity. This is first time, away to pick up man of the series. It's a tough job to come in and bat at number eight, I just wanted to rotate the strike. Enjoyed batting with Mushfiqur and Litton. At home, it's difficult to bowl and picked up five wickets, want to do better in future. Didn't play T20 World Cup, went back home, had time to work on few things. Credit to support staff, lots of hard work involved. Team is supporting me, I would never forget this moment.
Litton Das is the Player of the Match! Here's what he has to say: Believed in myself, Pakistan bowled in that half. Me and Miraz thought we would want to bat long, kill the momentum and after the lunch the momentum shifted on our side. When Hasan came in, didn't have a lot of scoring opportunity, had to take the time and play the overs, credit goes to Hasan also, hung on in the end. I like keeping in a test match, that's my role, if I do well, the team also does well. When we came in here, back home, the situation wasn't hard and it's all about team effort, it was hot and humid here, not easy to keep wickets. Credit goes to the coaching staff.
Andre Adams (Bangladesh bowling coach): Very proud, very young set of bowlers we have, not the wickets we were expecting in Pakistan, but this bunch of guys proved everyone wrong. It's a pretty good group, one thing for fast bowling, this group is very keen to get better and I'm here to help them. Bangladesh is a proud nation, with what's happening in the last couple of months, this is something is a big thing for them to be happy about.
Litton Das: Big achievement for Bangladesh cricket, being part of this team, is a very happy moment. Me and Miraz were batting, credit goes to Mehidy, he faced 20 deliveries and got hit, I cannot do that. He just eased the pressure off me, we had to kill the momentum and after lunch, we played freely. It's all about team game, if you have to win a test match, all three departments has to work. Every batter batted well except for that first innings first half.
Hasan Mahmud: Fantastic effort from the boys, all the hard work has paid off. Fast bowlers were looking for wickets, bowled with hear throughout. The fast bowlers have brilliant, the spinners have done well in combination.
Bangladesh won by 6 wickets
Bangladesh are proving unstoppable... They entered this series as underdogs but pinned Pakistan down to complete the historic clean sweep. The hosts came up with a response after going behind in the series and the momentum were with them when the visitors were reeling at 26-6 but only managed to take a 12-run lead, all thanks to a sublime partnership between Litton Das and Mehidy Hasan Miraz.
That partnership broke Pakistan's heart but gave Bangladesh a lot of belief to fight with the ball in the second innings and their pacers went berserk. They rattled the Pakistan top-order with menacing line and length. Hasan Mahmud and Nahid Rana put together a tag team to complete the demolition act. There were rain threats on the final day but in stark contrast to everyone's expectations, we didn't see any stoppages and Bangladesh chased the target with minimum fuss.
Pakistan did pick up a few wickets but they can't stop the inevitable. Bangladesh's two senior pros took the responsibility and applied the finishing touch to complete the formalities.

55.6 Abrar Ahmed to Shakib Al Hasan, FOUR! BANGLADESH SCRIPT HISTORY IN PAKISTAN! They've whitewashed Pakistan in their own backward. Celebrations being in the dressing room. Floated a length delivery, but was well outside the off-stump. Shakib sits on one knee, reaches and belted it past vacant extra-over to seal the deal in style.
55.5 Abrar Ahmed to Shakib Al Hasan, short on the fourth stump, Shakib stood tall and keeps it out.
55.4 Abrar Ahmed to Shakib Al Hasan, OH! Skips down the track for the length delivery, Abrar angled it in and Shakib gets his body behind and keeps it out. Short-leg quick to have a shy at the stumps and misses as Shakib gets back.
55.3 Abrar Ahmed to Shakib Al Hasan, length delivery outside the off-stump, Shakib let's it come to him and puts a deft touch to it towards third-man for a couple.
55.2 Abrar Ahmed to Shakib Al Hasan, uses his feet for the length delivery, Abrar fires it in and Shakib couldn't turn this one away, pings on the pad.
55.1 Abrar Ahmed to Shakib Al Hasan, good length delivery but sprays it down the leg-side, Shakib misses to clip.
The players are lining up to celebrate but they have to wait a bit as the defense from their senior pros keeps getting stronger. As I type this, Rahim pulls the short delivery behind square and Bangladesh are one hit away
