So, folks that are that, Quetta Gladiators have lost this match to Peshawar Zalmi by 61 runs and have almost been knocked out of the competition.

When the total of 197 was set by the Peshawar Zalmi, everyone knew that Quetta Gladiators will have a tough task out there for them. On top of that, Faf du Plessis, who could have been a key batsman for them in this game, had to be concussed out of the game with an injury he had during fielding. Having said that, 19-year-old Saim Ayub came in his place and opened the innings with Usman Khan.

The left and right hand combination didn't get off to a flyer but there was a genuine attempt in trying to get a good start and stable opening partnership. Usman was the one who tried to up the ante while Ayub was more than happy just nudging around the singles with an odd boundary. The opening partnership made 62 runs from 48 balls before Usman got out to Fabian Allen.

After this moment, Peshawar just grabbed the match by the neck and took it home. In the 10th over, Wahab brought back Mohammad Irfan for his last over. He dismissed Azam Khan, Cameron Delport, and Ayub in that over as Quetta found themselves reeling at 70 for 4 at the halfway stage. Then came Umaid Asif. With the first two balls of his spell, the right-arm pacer took the wickets of Jake Weatherald and Mohammad Nawaz. At 86 for 6, Quetta had nothing but defeat written all over the ground.

Sarfaraz Ahmed chipped in with some unimportant 36 runs, in the end, nothing of which was impressive. Asif got a run out to dismiss Khurram Shahzad with a brilliant direct hit. After this, Zalmi skipper Riaz took the matters into his own hands. He picked up two scalps in the 19th over. His counterpart stayed unbeaten as Quetta finished on 136 for 9, losing by 61 runs.

19.6 Mohammad Imran to Sarfaraz Ahmed, a length ball bowled on the pads, Sarfaraz heaves it to deep square leg for a single. With that Zalmi complete a 61 run win to get themselves into winnings ways!
19.5 Mohammad Imran to Sarfaraz Ahmed, FOUR! A length ball bowled on middle and leg, Sarfaraz pulls it into the gap on the leg-side into the square leg region for a boundary
19.4 Mohammad Imran to Sarfaraz Ahmed, a full-toss bowled on the body, Sarfaraz gets down low but doesn't get the desired connection on it as he miscues it to the square leg region
19.3 Mohammad Imran to Zahir Khan, a length ball bowled on middle and leg, Zahir plays it towards the extra cover region where Powell shows us his footy skills while keeping it to a single only
19.2 Mohammad Imran to Sarfaraz Ahmed, a full ball bowled on the off-stump, Ahmed gets a thick-edge towards the third-man region for a single
19.1 Mohammad Imran to Sarfaraz Ahmed, a very full ball bowled on the stumps, Sarfaraz just about keeps it away from the stumps
Wahab Riaz takes his tally to 33 wickets against Quetta Gladiators. He finishes with figures of 2 for 20 in his four overs.

18.6 Wahab Riaz to Zahir Khan, a full ball bowled into the batsman, who makes room and plays it towards extra cover for a couple of runs
18.5 Wahab Riaz to Zahir Khan, a full ball bowled outside off, Zahir moves away but fails to make contact with an attempted dab
18.4 Wahab Riaz to Zahir Khan, FOUR! WOW! A full ball bowled on middle and leg, Zahir makes room and carves it over the cover region for a nonchalant four! A promotion on the cards for Zahir?
18.3 Wahab Riaz to Zahid Mahmood, BOWLED! A full ball bowled on middle stump, Zahid is beaten for pace and has his stumps disturbed with his middle stump down for the count. Only one more wicket remains for Zalmi to wrap this game!
18.2 Wahab Riaz to Zahid Mahmood, a very full ball bowled just outside off, Zahid looks to drive but fails to get bat on ball!
18.1 Wahab Riaz to Mohammad Hasnain, WICKET! A full ball bowled outside off, Hasnain has a big swing at it and can only edge it to the keeper, who makes no mistake whatsoever!
Umaid Asif has been so impressive today. His two wickets were the final nail in the coffin for Quetta and now he pulled off a brilliant run out. Just two overs left now. 75 runs required. Not even 12 sixes will do the job.
