Alright. That's that from this three match ODI series here in South Africa, they're the deserved winners of the series but England pulled off a full game for themselves to win the final ODI to take some thing out of the series. Join us for plenty of cricketing action happening tomorrow, until next time, this is Pradeep along with my partner Arya as we sign off, stay safe and take care!
Bavuma heads out to collect the trophy and hands it over to his team-mates as they pose for a photograph as well.
Temba Bavuma (South Africa captain): Really happy with the series win, we came in a lot of pressure with the qualification to the world cup. Beating a tough side like England, we challenged ourselves and I keep saying that, there are a lot of learnings from the series and a lot of confidence too. Guys have to go and express themselves, stay positive, you would've seen something different, whether it's the batter going on to take the attack and the same with the bowling. Not really, I think they are the guys who go on to play the local T20, test cricket as well, it's not too far, it won't be a disruption as they bring in the flow into the games when they play for the country. Winning the series it the main thing, super happy for the team, happy about myself, felt I was hitting the ball nicely, finding the gaps, the rhythm was definitely there, I am happy captain standing here.
Jos Buttler is the Player of the Match - 131(127) for his splendid hundred and is also the Player of the Series - 261 runs ! Here's what he has to say: Nice to finish with a win today, I think, barring that first 10 or 15 overs the first ODI, we've played for the rest of the series, hard fought series and congratulations to South Africa with a series win but we're delighted to win today. The hard work we did early on, both teams wanted to bowl first, South Africa struck with early wickets, wasn't straight forward but to build partnership with Malan and go on to post a big total, we were 20 or 25 for 3 after 10 overs it a fantastic effort. We spoke about building partnership, not being the biggest ground, we thought we could catch up and we've got excellent hitters who follow us, we wanted to extend that partnership as long as possible. Really good strides, guys going on to get hundreds, with the ball, some brilliant things, Archer's performance tonight was brilliant and was deserving player of the match, he came back to take the Klaasen's wicket and broke the game wide open again for us. Lot of senior players can help like Moeen Ali, Jason Roy, Adil Rashid, Chris Woakes, these guys have played lot of cricket, they bounce ideas, we got a strong squad, we're building nicely and that big picture en-route to India is coming up nicely. Schedules are something that we can try and work with, few players heading to New Zealand to play the test series, some players are staying back to play the remainder of the SA20, we look forward to joining up again in a few weeks in Bangladesh!
Time for the post-match presentation ceremony with Pommie Mbangwa.
England won by 59 runs
England 346/7 in 50 overs Jos Buttler 131(127) | Dawid Malan 118(114) | Lungi Ngidi 4/62(10)
South Africa 287 all-out in 43.1 overs Heinrich Klaasen 80(62) | Jofra Archer 6/40(9.1) | Adil Rashid 3/68(10)
South Africa knew exactly what it needed to chase down the target of 347 after doing the same in the previous ODI but they were well aware that it wasn’t going to be a straightforward ask in front of a well-oiled English bowling attack. Temba Bavuma got them off to a fluent start but his opening partner Reeza Hendricks wasn’t quite finding his touch. It was Bavuma who played the attacking role and played some delectable shots during the powerplay before perishing at the hands of Chris Woakes on the final delivery of the 9th over.
Jofra Archer steamed in right from the word go and made life difficult for the South African batters. He bagged the prized wicket of Rassie van der Dussen to get going and when the pressure was on England with the partnership of Aiden Markram and Heinrich Klaasen settling in, he broke through with the wickets of Markram and David Miller in quick succession to tilt the scales in favor of England.
Adil Rashid also bowled well in the middle overs and scalped out the half-centurion Reeza Hendricks. It was Heinrich Klaasen who turned the game on it’s head with some exhilarating strokeplay and was supported amicably by Wayne Parnell. The duo shared a quickfire stand of 85 runs which laid the platform for a brilliant finish. Jos Buttler had to bring back Archer and buoy he delivered.
He bounced out Klaasen with a slower bumper and then rattled the stumps of Wayne Parnell with a quickish back-of-a-length delivery. Eventually, South Africa was skittled out for 287 in the 44th over which handed England a convincing 59-run victory. For the Proteas, Klaasen was the top scorer with 80 off 62 deliveries while Jofra Archer was the pick of the English bowlers, finishing with figures of 6/40. Adil Rashid also chipped in with three crucial wickets.
Earlier in the day it was Bavuma who won the toss and put England in. They lost three wickets for just 14 runs and was staring down another defeat when the duo of Jos Buttler and Dawid Malan turned it around for the visitors. They shared a 232-run stand which included some blitzkrieg towards the latter half of the innings. Both scored centuries as England recovered and posted a mammoth 346 on the board. In the end, it proved to be enough unlike the previous encounter.
What a top performance by Jofra Archer, bags 6 to take his side over the finishing line. A comfortable victory in the end for England as the series ends 2-1 in favor of South Africa.
43.1 Jofra Archer to Tabraiz Shamsi, OUT! KNOCKED HIM OVER! England pick up the consolation win as Archer picks his SIX-FOR and South Africa take the series, 2-1! Back of a length on the off-stump, Shamsi backed away to play but gets beaten by the raw pace, rattles the off-stump and England thump South Africa by 59 runs!
Ngidi trying to enjoy his time in the middle, a mighty heave across the line for a boundary. 6 runs coming off that over.

42.6 Reece Topley to Lungi Ngidi, FOUR! SHOT! Change of pace, short into Ngidi, waits and swivels to hammer it to deep mid-wicket, goes one bounce into the fence for a boundary.
42.5 Reece Topley to Tabraiz Shamsi, length delivery on the middle and leg, Shamsi whacked it away to deep mid-wicket for a single.
42.4 Reece Topley to Tabraiz Shamsi, OH! Short and well outside the off-stump, Shamsi backed away to cut but bottom edge's it to the keeper.
42.3 Reece Topley to Tabraiz Shamsi, back of a length delivery, angling it across right-hander over off-stump, on the backfoot he looks to drive but gets beaten.
42.2 Reece Topley to Tabraiz Shamsi, back of a length on the off-stump, Shamsi fends it away, straight to the point fielder.
42.1 Reece Topley to Lungi Ngidi, length delivery on the off-stump, Ngidi swings across the line but takes a streaky edge down to third-man for one.
Reece Topley [6-0-42-0] is back into the attack.
A magnificent over from Jofra Archer, a wicket maiden and it's only a matter of time before England win this. Parnell had to step on the gas and tried to find the boundary but Archer managed to rattle his stumps and get a fifer.
