Valor and fortitude of the highest order from Andre Fletcher. It's very much possible that he sits out of his team's final fixture given that he just didn't seem to be in any sort of comfort towards those last few overs. But this is a knock that none of us will forget anytime soon. One of, if not his best ever in the format and it has finally given the Patriots something to smile about. As for the Kings, it's a good time for them to reflect on what went wrong today. They remain well-placed for a spot in the knockouts but will certainly want to return to winning ways when they take the field next.

Evin Lewis (St. Kitts & Nevis Patriots captain): Feels very good to be honest. We've been trying for our first win and to get it today feels extra special. I was very pleased with the bowling effort today. We actually used the wicket and executed that perfect length today. (On Ashmead Nedd) I back him in the powerplay and he bowled brilliantly. Fletcher's a top guy. He never gives up. He always believes in himself. To be honest I'm very happy. We've been trying for that victory. Our confidence is going to be high for the next game and hopefully we finish with a win. I've been trying to be honest (for that big knock) and giving my best.

Sikandar Raza (St. Lucia Kings captain): I don't think it was too bad a total. I thought we were 10 runs short. We had a very tough start probably because of the wicket - there was some moisture in the wicket. We only scored 8-9 runs an over and I thought those 10 odd runs made the difference. (On Shadrack Descarte) I thought he was very impressive. He was very mature in the way he looked to take on his matchups. When you see the maturity and with age on his side he's got a bright future. Khary's done really well. It was just to do with the combination (him not playing all games) but he has come back and done brilliantly. The wind plays a huge factor in the Caribbean. I thought if Fletcher gets out in the 19th over, it doesn't matter who came out in the last over I'd back Roston Chase to win the game. Even if he didn't get out I'd back him to win the game. We wanted to get them to hit towards the longer side of the ground.

Andre Fletcher is undoubtedly the Player of the Match for his incredible unbeaten 93. Sherfane Rutherford collects the award on his behalf and has this to say: I think it was a special knock. Given the way our team has played we had just one or two batters in form and he was one of them. (On his injury) It's a hamstring. I'm not sure how long he'll be out but he's with the physio receiving treatment. Hopefully he'll be fit for the next game. (Is he relieved with the win?) Very relieved (grins).

Who writes these scripts eh? It should have been a straightforward chase for the St. Kitts & Nevis Patriots but the St. Lucia Kings fought and fought hard. Andre Fletcher was in cruise control but then he pulled up with an injury to his leg that stunted his team's progress in the death overs with the runs nearly drying up for good. But the wounded lion showed the heart of a courageous one to vault his team past the finish line for the first time this season!

Chasing 150, the Patriots had their task cut out on a pitch where the spinners continued to call the shots. Khary Pierre pulled off what Ashmead Nedd did in the first innings with a tidy four-over spell as he operated unchanged to return with two wickets. Fletcher tore into Sean Williams though to ensure that the Patriots remained close to the eight-ball but it wasn't all crash-bang-wallop from the Spiceman - it was an incredibly mature display of batting as he placed the ball in the gaps and ran hard between the wickets.

Sherfane Rutherford provided him the kind of support he was longing for with the duo forging a handy fourth-wicket partnership. But then came a twist with skipper Sikandar Raza vaulting the Kings back into the mix with the wicket of Rutherford, before George Linde was kept quiet for a good part of his stay. A 15-run over off Peter Hatzoglou seemed to swing the game in favor of the Patriots for good with Fletcher continuing to waltz along as though he was batting on a belter of a track.

But then came another twist as he pulled up with an issue to his leg. He didn't let him affect it in the immediate aftermath as he clobbered a big one off Alzarri Joseph but the latter returned to keep it away from Fletcher's reach with the batter in question restricted in movement. A lone run came off the penultimate over and once Corbin Bosch slogged it down the throat of deep mid-wicket, it became incredibly tricky. Holding his nerve and withstanding a lot of pain though, Fletcher walloped a six off the penultimate delivery to seal the deal for the Patriots in the most dramatic of circumstances here in Tarouba. Some way for them to get off the mark after a long wait!

Cometh the hour, cometh the warrior! Andre Fletcher, the wounded lion who walks off a real hero. He's clearly very emotional and it tells you how much this means to him. What a cracker we've witnessed in Tarouba!

19.5 Roston Chase to Andre Fletcher, SIX! SPICEY DOES IT! Oh you warrior Andre Fletcher! Back of a length delivery at the stumps and he throws all muscle into his heave as he comes forward. Deep mid-wicket leaps in a bid to parry it back inside the field of play at the very least but alas, the ball just about clears him. Look at the Spiceman pumping his fists into the air in delight! This means so much to him and his side and after a long and frustrating wait, St. Kitts & Nevis Patriots are off the mark with a 4-wicket win!

Any fingernails left at all? This is getting as tense as we can possibly imagine. Dare we say those two words? They each start with an S and an O...

19.4 Roston Chase to Dominic Drakes, MISFIELD! Fires it outside the off stump on a length and Drakes hacks it across the line as he stays low. Chase moves to his left but fumbles as the batters swap ends with Fletcher making it with another hobble

19.3 Roston Chase to Corbin Bosch, HOLES OUT! You have got to be kidding me! Flighted full outside the off stump and Bosch brings out a slog sweep. Goes in direction of the wind but he doesn't get enough elevation or distance to clear Sean Williams at deep mid-wicket. Oh my word, this game is turning on its head!
