That's all we have from this contest as I, Lavil Saldanha, take your leave. Keep following Sportskeeda for the latest in the world of sports. SEE YA!
Matthew Short (captain and Player of the Match, SFU): We will take the win, first game as captain and first game for me as well so good to be out in the middle. Felt really nice, big shout out to guys from Adelaide back home, done a great job as always. Good to keep the season rolling, we are 4 and 0, and we need to continue. They (Bartlett and Rauf) are quality world-class bowlers, and they kept their heads high. They did a good job towards the end and have been calm. Shout out to Anderson as well, he has been awesome for the last couple of years for this franchise. (Injury update on Corey Anderson) There is always hope; we will wait and see.
Faf du Plessis (captain, TSK): Couldn’t hit the ball with the middle of the bat yesterday, but good to get a score under your belt. They have two dangerous batters at the top, a couple of no balls from our end, and we were also 20-25 runs short. You feel the wind is blowing against one side and is shorter. The foundation was there, and had we gotten 20 runs more, it could have been a different result
9:25 PM local time, 8:55 AM IST: San Francisco Unicorns win by 7 wickets
SFU: 202/3 (16.1 overs) Finn Allen: 78(35b) | Adam Milne: 1/24 (3 overs) Matthew Short: 61(29b) | Mohammad Mohsin: 1/29 (2 overs)
A chasing masterclass from SFU. They paced their chase perfectly and managed to get the job done in record time. By doing so, they have also registered the second highest total chased in the league's history and continue to stay at the top of the table, recording four wins in four games.
Finn Allen had a new partner at the top of the order, with Trans Tasman and skipper Matthew Short opening the innings. The two matched each other for who could hit the most boundaries, with TSK bowlers looking all over the park to follow the trajectory where the ball was flying away to. The pair got to 100 in close to 7 and a half overs, with the pair putting on 117 runs for the first wicket before Short was dismissed.
From there on, it was all Finn Allen, with the Kiwi seeing the white Kookaburra like a football. However, pace off later on saw his impressive knock come to an end. Later on, Jake Fraser McGurk, Sanjay Krishnamurthy, and Hassan Khan ensured that there were no further hiccups and the chase was comfortably completed.
Texas Super Kings saw the ball fly all around the park and failed to penetrate through the batting lineup ahead of them. Adam Milne was the only economical bowler to pick up a wicket ,while Mohammad Mohsin and Daryl Mitchell also picked up wickets but were expensive. Noor Ahmad, a key player in TSK, was taken apart by the duo of Allen and Short.
San Francisco Unicorns Scored 200 runs in 16.1 overs
16.1 Daryl Mitchell to Hassan Khan, FOUR! SFU WIN! Length delivery going down the legside, Hassan Khan gets in the line of that delivery and plays it behind square on the legside for a boundary to end the game. Unicorns chase down 199 and win the game by three wickets, further solidifying their stake over the top spot.

Jake Fraser-McGurk has been dismissed for 37 runs off 25 balls
15.5 Mohammad Mohsin to Jake Fraser-McGurk, CAUGHT! ANTICLIMATIC END OF THE INNINGS! Full again from Mohsin, FMCG looks to hit him out of the park yet again, but doesn't get the distance this time, with substitute fielder Donnovan Ferreira taking the catch to end his stay in the middle. A third wicket falls a bit too late for TSK
15.4 Mohammad Mohsin to Jake Fraser-McGurk, SIX! TOP STRIKE! Full and on the line of the off stump, FMCG goes for a biggie and gets the biggie, clearing the fence with ease for a maximum
