Comments from the players

Deandra Dottin: "I have always wanted to play this tournament, and to win the tournament has been good. Indeed, the pitch was struggling a bit, but Smriti was batting really well. I was just looking to give her the strike as much as possible."

Sophie Ecclestone: "We're a great team, and to win it this year is amazing. It's great to have a good team. As a bowler, it's nothing better to have than two of the best openers in the world."

Harleen Deol : "We had lost the last tournament quite closely against the Supernovas, so this time we wanted to avenge that. It feels good. We knew their game because we had played them before, and today the pitch was keeping a bit low and slow. So we kept to those plans."

Deepti Sharma: "During the lockdown, we have worked on some shots like the reverse sweep, inside out. We had worked plans out according to each batter. We knew it was a slow wicket, so we wanted to stick to our plans."
What a convincing win from Trailblazers eventually. The win the Women's T20 Challenge by 16 runs. The Trailblazers did collapse to just make 118 which was an under-par total but the bowlers did superbly to strangle the Supernovas line-up. The Trailblazers got off to a fantastic start as the World's No.1 bowler Sophie Ecclestone removed the dangerous Chamari Atapaththu in just the second over. After that, Taniya Bhatia and Jemimah Rodrigues tried to stabilise the innings but they couldn't increase the run-rate.  Bhatia and Rodrigues fell in quick succession after the Powerplay to put the Supernovas in trouble.

The experienced duo of Shashikala Siriwardane and Harmanpreet Kaur built a slow 37-run partnership but the former fell in the 15th over. Having an injury, Harmanpreet Kaur was also struggling quite a bit. In the end, Salma Khatun almost wrapped up the proceedings with three wickets in the penultimate over.
19.6 Sophie Ecclestone to Shakera Selman, tossed up outside off and Shakera slices it past the point region for a couple of runs! There is an appeal for a run out but Selman has made it in time there!

Trailblazers have won the Women's T20 Challenge!
19.5 Sophie Ecclestone to Shakera Selman, angled at the legs as Shakera runs it down to the deep mid wicket region for two runs
19.4 Sophie Ecclestone to Shakera Selman, darted at the stumps as Shakera walks out to hit but gets it down to Sophie
19.3 Sophie Ecclestone to Radha Yadav, tossed up straight and Yadav digs it out to the long off region for a single
19.2 Sophie Ecclestone to Radha Yadav, fuller one outside off and Yadav hits it through the covers to the rope and manages to scamper for two
19.1 Sophie Ecclestone to Radha Yadav, back of the length outside off and Yadav finds the fielder on the off side
It is an uphill task for Supernovas as they require 24 runs off the last six balls. It becomes even tougher when you consider that Sophie Ecclestone is the bowler.

18.5 Salma Khatun to Pooja Vastrakar, CAUGHT! Tossed up and Pooja goes for the big shot but mistimes it and Sophie Ecclestone has an easy catch at short mid on for another wicket for the Trailblazers!

Probably the last nail in the coffin as Salma Khatun has bowled Harmanpreet Kaur here. She was the last hope for Supernovas and now has to walk back
