SPN 2020 Squad - Players to Watch Out

#1 Harmanpreet Kaur

The captain Harmanpreet Kaur will be eager to get those big shots out after a long wait due to the COVID-19 pandemic. She has been the main batter for the Supernovas when it comes to anchoring the innings and controlling the batters around her. Kaur might prove to be beneficial with her part-time off-breaks if needed.

#2 Jemimah Rodrigues

The young Indian batting superstar from Mumbai, Jemimah Rodrigues, is the highest run-getter for the Supernovas in the two previous editions of the Women’s T20 Challenge. The 20-year-old is an exceptional fielder in the deep. She also rolls her arm over sometimes and has the efficient knack of picking up wickets.

#3 Chamari Athapaththu

The Supernovas will need Chamari Athapaththu to fire in Sharjah. The Sri Lankan skipper might prove to the X-factor for the ‘Women in Blue’ in the Women’s T20 Challenge. She carries the burden of the Sri Lankan batting in international cricketer and will like to take up a similar responsibility for the upcoming edition of the T20 tournament.

#4 Poonam Yadav

Poonam Yadav was the second-highest wicket-taker in the Women’s T20 World Cup that took place in Australia early this year. The old-fashioned flight on the delivery is a rarity in today’s cricket but she still continues to show why the spinners were a big hit in the previous generations.

#5 Shashikala Siriwardene

Chamari Athapaththu’s Sri Lankan teammate Shashikala Siriwardene will bring in huge experience into an already boosted Supernovas side. The 35-year-old all-rounder might provide the right balance for the Supernovas in 2020 and take them to their third title win.
