Shai Hope [West Indies Captain]: Big step in the right direction. We have been playing some good cricket in the last few months. You want to progress further and also want to give opportunities to youngsters. But at the same time you want to keep winning. It is a thin line. Aamir Jangoo has been playing well and showing some good form. Today, he played the situation well. Great to see that he finished the game for the team. That is something I always talk about. In the past, we have not been winning series clinically. Today, we have done that.

Mehidy Hasan Miraz [Bangladesh Captain]: It was a tough day for our bowlers. The batters did well. The bowling could have done better. We didn't get wickets in the middle overs. We are missing some senior players. Some players are injured. So, I had to take some responsibility. That is why I was batting at number four. Today, I could not deliver but I am trying. Mahmudullah got three fifties in this series. So, there is definitely a lot to learn from him. Hopefully, the youngsters can learn from him and improve. Next is Champions Trophy. It will be played on good wickets. We will need to improve our bowling.

Sherfane Rutherford is the Player of the Series, here is what he had to say: I think it was a good series me. I have been putting in a lot of hard work. Sometimes it goes your way and sometimes it doesn't but I am very happy. Skipper was happy to see my bowling in the nets. Hopefully I can more overs in the future. As a batter you get very upset if you get out on a surface like this. The way Jangoo batted was great and seeing other guys chip in as well feels good. Making West Indies a better nation. We are taking it one step at a time.

Amir Jangoo is the Player of the Match, here is what he had to say: It's surreal. It's an amazing feeling. All the hard work is finally paying off. Yeah I didn't want to make a duck on debut and Keacy responded and it turned out to be my day. He made it easy for me. Asked me to enjoy my debut. That was a pretty good wicket no matter what the circumstance was. Daren Sammy had a chat with me regarding on how to play on this surface. I just wanted to see the ball and hit the ball.

A series that has brought much joy to the fans of West Indies cricket ends on a high-note too. Thrice in three matches, the men in maroon have hunted down a target with plenty of time to spare. And the best part? They have found different heroes on each occasion. It was Rutherford in the first game, King in the second and today, two youngsters — Keacy Carty and debutant Amir Jangoo.

This chase was easily the toughest of the lot. Firstly, the target was steep. Before today, 322 had never been chased down in an ODI at Warner Park. Plus, West Indies were 86/4 with the more experienced and in-form batters back in the hut. That is when Carty and Jangoo came together and put forth a partnership that they might be telling their grandchildren about one day. Carty embodied sturdiness. He was judicious with his selection of the balls to go after. And when he did attack, boy oh boy, he did it with some panache.

On the other end, Jangoo exhibited maturity. His start was sedate, because with Carty doing his business at the other end, he did not need to take any risks. But once he got his eye in, he started unfurling some flamboyant shots and ensured that the West Indies never fell behind the rate. In the end, Gudakesh Motie too played an enthralling cameo, validating his promotion in the order and taking the team home.

For Bangladesh, there is plenty to think about. The dropped catches, in particular, hurt them today. However, they do have some positives to take from this series. Mahmudullah and Jaker Ali Anik notched up good fifties today. Nahid Rana was impressive in the last match and Mehidy Hasan Miraz has gone from strength to strength as a batter.
