Commentary

Well, never write the World T20 Champions off. With the firepower they have with the bat, they can hurt any team and how things unfolded today is the evidence of it. West Indies have to work hard on their bowling and to have clear-cut plans to stop Phil Salt, who was in lethal form at the moment. It was an entertaining game throughout and we could expect even more fireworks in the decider as the match takes place in this very ground.

Jos Buttler - Fantastic win and it showed plenty of character. Proud of the group, we went 2-0 down and to level the series is phenomenal. We have done it in hundred playing for Lancashire and we know each other's game. Just to see the game from a different perspective. Both teams are playing very good cricket and let's see what happens in the decider

Rovman Powell - Credit should be given where it's due. Salt and Jos batted really well. It's a thin line when you play against world class players. You have to execute it well. It's a final and we come up with brand new ideas on how to entertain the fans. The guys will relax and it it's important to give them some alone time to get some clarity

Philip Salt (Man of the Match) - I am enjoying it. It's a good place to come and play Cricket. Looking forward to the decider. Very satisfying and I made a few tweaks to my game, more with the mental approach and seeing the reward now. They bowled quite well after the first couple of overs. At times, we felt the pressure because they are powerful side. When a guy like Dre Russ gets going you don't know what happens

This is an action-packed contest throughout but England were head and shoulders above West Indies in all facets of the game. With the help of Phil Salt's masterclass with the bat, they registered their highest ever T20 total, and with the ball, they managed to pick up wickets at regular intervals to not allow the hosts to get ahead in the contest

Firstly, Moeen Ali was given the new ball and he struck in his very first ball by removing the in-form Brandon King. His happiness, however, lasted only for a few minutes as Pooran went after him and smoked a couple of mighty sixes and boundaries. He was giving England the taste of their own medicine but the problem was that West Indies played fire with fire and kept losing wickets.

The top-order batters got starts but none of them converted it into a big knock. It was a big sigh of relief for the visitors when Curran got the better of Pooran, all thanks to a sensational running catch from Harry Brook.

Soon after, Rutherford took charge and played a entertaining knock but Rehan had the last laugh against him. Rashid kept things tight and despite the batters kept swinging their blade at everything, they didn't have much success against the canny leggie.

The lower-order batters can't stamp their authority against the spinners but Russell showcased his firepower and he just looked unstoppable. He kept clearing the ropes at ease and smashed the biggest six of the night by thumping Topley over long-on but his knock only helped the West Indies to reduce the deficit of the defeat

Slow delivery on a fuller length angling across off, Russell misjudges the pace and was early into his swing. He tries to send another one down the ground but ends up skiing this.
