This is Navjeevan Rajput and alongside me, Pratyush Rohra signing off till then take care and stay safe!!
Kieron Pollard (West Indies captain) : At the end of the day, we take the win. The guys batted well, Evin scoring a ton, we asked that in the dressing room and Pooran finishing it off. It was a total team performance. We know our best chance of winning was chasing. In T20s, we didn't do well. We had our plans and it's good to see the boys sticking to the their roles. The bowler with Jason and Joseph did really well. You can't have a perfect game and have to understand the situation. We have won the series. Each game is very important, we are going to come and see if we can win 3-0. Today has been one of the hardest days for me as an individual. The guy who is responsible for me to play cricket, uncle Steven passed away today. I dedicate this win to you.
Dimuth Karunaratne(Sri Lanka Captain): Maybe in the batting, we did lose 3 wickets early on. The two batsmen, in the end, help us post a decent total on the board. In the death overs as well, we were not able to bowl on the right lines. The wicket-taking spinners were unable to take wickets as well, the West Indies batters although did well to see them off and kept pushing it till the last few overs and finished it off with power.

Yes, there some great partnership by over low order batters, we, unfortunately, did not have any wicket-taking options and thus were unable to put pressure on West Indies batters. We definitely are here for win and we just need to have better plans going forward. We need to get wickets early on as well.
Man of the Match, Evin Lewis : Very proud. I backed myself and my ability. It's important to get off to a good start and push on from there. Playing the Super 50 has helped in get into a rhythm, got some good scores there and tried to execute the same with the same confidence. Great wicket to bat on, best in Antigua. Could have carried it down till the end with Shai but unfortunately got out. Next game I'll try to take it through.
Pooran in the final over took Pradeep to the cleaners and won the match for the West Indies. Post-match comments loading soon, stay tuned....
West Indies still needed 25 runs in 16 balls when Allen lost his wicket. Jason Holder then came out in the middle. Pooran who kept strike found much-needed boundaries as he tonked Pradeep down the ground in the 48th over. Those boundaries tilted the game in favor of the Windies.
Sri Lanka once again balanced the contest as he got the wicket of Pollard of a well-executed yorker trapping him in front of the stumps. West Indies still needed 41 runs in 25 balls. Fabian Allen then joined Pooran out in the middle, he did provide a couple of blows to bring the equation down but lost his wicket as well.
West Indies skipper then came out to the middle, Sri Lankans on the other hand started to make things hard for the batters as they were getting under the pressure of the required run rate. Pollard was able to find the much-needed boundary and maximum helping keep his side close to the required run rate.
They were in a sticky situation as they definitely didn't want to lose their wicket and add more pressure. As the run rate crept high, Bravo was able to find a much-needed maximum. Bravo tried to repeat that shot lost his wicket and Sri Lanka once got a chance to get back into this chase.
Hope followed his opening pair to the dugout as he lost his wicket right in the following over batting on 84 runs. 2 wickets in quick succession did create an opening for Sri Lanka as two new batters came in the middle. Darren Bravo and Nicholas Pooran sure did take their time.
Lewis after reaching past his century tried to shift his gears once again lost his wicket to the spinner Lakshan as he was stumped in trying to come down and heave the bowler down the ground. This broke the 192 runs stand between Lewis and Hope.
The Windies opening par managed to put the highest open stand at Sir Viv Richards Stadium as they went past the record of 175 runs. Later on, Lewis after being patient was able to reach his century. The required run-rate as well was almost kept in check by the two until a wicket finally came for Sri Lanka.
Another chance was created as a fielder was able to hit the stumps but Srilanka continued to unfortunate as the bails did not come out off the grooves as Hope in that time was able to get his bat back into the crease as he survived.
Sri Lanka introduced their spin twins Wanindu and Lakshan post the 15th over mark. Lewis although did not stop as he went on to reach his half-century and from there on shifted his gears and started hit more boundaries. Hope at the other end decided to drop his anchor as he let Lewis run the show.
The duo continued to bat well and saw off the initial stages of the inning and themselves in. They found the boundaries consistently and kept up with the required run rate as well. Sri Lanka did introduce their spinner Danushka right after the end of the first powerplay but the Windies openers showed no sign of stopping.
Coming in to chase 274 runs, Evin Lewis and Shai Hope came out to open the batting for West Indies. The duo carried on their form from the first match and took no time to get themselves and got the runs flowing. Hope did face a couple of blows on his body but he did manage to carry on.
The highest successful run chase pulled off by West Indies against Sri Lanka in ODI Cricket! Pradeep unable to find the right lines in the death overs as Pooran just took him to the cleaners to seal the match for his side.
