AEW Dynamite: Grand Slam Live Results (September 20, 2023): Toni Storm kisses former WWE star, new champions crowned, another talent to join new faction?

Post-match, Samoa Joe looks to attack Adam Cole, but MJF gets in between. Joe shows respect to MJF and walks out of the ring.

Towards the end, Joe sends MJF slamming towards the turnbuckle and it takes out the ref. MJF chokes out Samoa Joe with a chain-type thing to retain the AEW World Title.

MJF retains

Adam Cole runs down the ring and motivates MJF to get out of a sleeper hold. MJF gets a two-count after a roll up.

The referee catches MJF with the Dynamite Diamond Ring and Joe takes advantage with a low blow. Samoa Joe only gets a two-count.

MJF makes his comeback with a Liger Bomb, but that is only good enough for a two-count. Samoa Joe looks to put MJF to sleep, but he low-blows the challenger.

After a back-and-forth, Joe drops MJF with a piledriver on top of an exposed floor. Doctors check in on MJF, but Joe chases them away. MJF still kicks out at 2.

Samoa Joe brings out a table and plants MJF with an uranage on top of it. Joe gets a two-count only.

MJF tries to gather momentum, but Joe drops him with a death valley driver on the apron. Joe gets a two-count shortly after.

MJF makes his comeback and slams Samoa Joe headfirst on the turnbuckles. MJF bites Joe and looks for the kangaroo kick. He connects and Joe is down.

Joe drops MJF with a back elbow and gets a two-count. He goes for the Muscle Buster, but MJF rolls out. MJF hits some lariats and rocks Samoa Joe. However, Joe takes him down with a lariat of his own.

The Samoan Submission Machine gets a nearfall, but MJF catches the ropes. Joe slams the champion on the barricades before choking him on the ropes. Samoa Joe kicks on MJF's ribs.

Samoa Joe does the DX chop and continues to have the upperhand.

MJF (c) vs. Samoa Joe - AEW World Championship Match

Samoa Joe kicks MJF in the initial stages of the match. The Devil tries to jump on Joe's back, but is dropped on the mat. Joe targets MJF's neck and unloads with some punches.

We have the main event up next MJF defends the AEW World title against Samoa Joe.

Towards the end of the match, Saraya dodges Storm's hip attack on the exposed turnbuckle and plants Toni Storm with the Knightcap to retain her title on Dynamite.

Saraya retains

Saraya uses the spray and hits the Night Cap, but only gets a two-count. After a back-and-forth, Storm kisses Saraya and hits the Storm Zero for a nearfall.

After a back-and-forth, Saraya drops Toni Storm with a sunset flip powerbomb and gets a two-count. Storm removes the protective padding from the turnbuckles as Ruby Soho passed the green spray to Saraya.

Storm does inside the ring and brings out slippers. She attacks Soho with those slippers before getting a nearfall on Saraya. Toni Storm hits a DDT on the entrance ramp, followed by another inside the ring for a two-count.

Saraya slaps Toni Storm in the initial stages and Storm responds with a chop. Ruby Soho distracts Storm and Saraya connects with a pump kick. Saraya unloads with knee strikes.

Samoa Joe sends a warning to MJF and vows to become the new AEW World Champion.

Jon Moxley hits the curb stomp on the entrance ramp and follows up with a piledriver for a two-count. Fans chant Seth Rollins' theme. After a while, Fenix connects with two piledrivers for the victory.

Rey Fenix becomes new AEW International Champion

Jon Moxley hits a gotch-style piledriver but only gets a two-count. Moxley chops down Fenix. Rey Fenix makes his comeback with a double stomp for a two-count

After a back-and-forth, Rey Fenix drops his hip from the turnbuckle on the back of Moxley's neck. Inside the ring, the BCC connects with the Paradigm Shift for a two-count. He then applies a Texas Cloverleaf and transitions to a STF.

Fenix connects with two kicks and hits a cutter for a two-count. He then hits a frog splash for another nearfall. Jon Moxley drops Rey Fenix with a King Kong Lariat.

Moxley and Fenix battle at ringside and the BCC member stops Rey Fenix's high-flying move and hits a DDT on the outside. He gets a two-count shortly after.

The bell finally rings and Fenix sunset flips the former WWE Champion. Fenix armdrags Jon Moxley, but the latter drops him down with a forearm strike. Moxley gets a two-count after a stomp.

Jon Moxley and Rey Fenix battle on the entrance ramp. Fenix leaps over the cameraman and rocks Moxley at the ringside area.

Daniel Garcia confronts Sammy Guevara, but Callis says he is money and leaves with The Spanish God.

Don Callis comes to ringside and Sammy Guevara has aligned with the former WWE personality.

Post-match, Chris Jericho and Sammy Guevara embrace each other. BUT Guevara tricks Jericho, low blows him and turns heel.

Sammy Guevara goes for the shooting star press, but Chris Jericho responds with the Codebreaker to pick up the win.

Chris Jericho wins

Chris Jericho counters a lionsault attempt and hits one of his own to get a two-count on Sammy Guevara. The latter hits a rising knee strike and connects with the GTH.

Sammy Guevara escapes out of the move before hitting a cutter from the top rope for a two-count.

After a back-and-forth, Sammy Guevara stops Chris Jericho's momentum and follows up with a cutter from the turnbuckles. Jericho counters a GTH and applies the Walls of Jericho.

The Spanish God hits a Spanish Fly, but Chris Jericho stops his momentum with a lariat. Guevara hits a Codebreaker and gets a two-count.

Chris Jericho slams Guevara's head on the table and enters the ring to pose. The WWE veteran climbs on the turnbuckle and follows up with a hurricanrana for a two-count.

He hits a crossbody for a two-count. The two stars battle on the apron and Chris Jericho and Sammy Guevara land hard on the outside.

Sammy Guevara vs. Chris Jericho

The two stars have a quick exchange in the early stages of the match. Jericho hits a backbreaker but misses with a springboard splash. Sammy Guevara takes The Ocho on the outside.

We have a singles match between Chris Jericho and Sammy Guevara up next.

Christian Cage is in a backstage interview and he says he'll walk over Sting and Darby Allin. Cage says he is done with Allin and challenges him to a triple-threat match for the TNT Title on Collision, involving Captain Charisma and Luchasaurus. Sting is banned from ringside.

We see The Kingdom reading a letter to a hospitalized Roderick Strong. Adam Cole comes in and confronts The Kingdom. They vow to become the new no.1 contenders for the ROH tag team titles. Cole says he needs to be by MJF's side at Grand Slam and leaves.

Post-match, Claudio Castagnoli and Eddie Kingston show respect to each other before Claudio walks out of the ring as Eddie celebrates.

Towads the end, Eddie hits the back fist and follows up with a powerbomb to WIN the ROH World Championship.

Eddie Kingston becomes the new ROH World Champion

Eddie Kingston hits a couple of back fists and follows up with a northern lights bomb for a two-count.

Eddie Kingston reverses a Ricola Bomb and the two stars exchange roll-ups. Claudio finally connects with the Ricola Bomb but only gets a two-count.

Eddie hits a lariat in the corner and follows up with chops. He then drives his knee into Claudio's face, but the former WWE star responds. The two stars exchange strikes before Claudio headbutts him.

Claudio stomps on Eddie before the latter retaliates with chops. The BCC member gets another two-count shortly after. Eddie gets a nearfall after a suplex.

Claudio Castgnoli drops Eddie Kingston on the plexiglass entrance ramp. The Swiss star stomps on Eddie's shoulder, but misses a diving headbutt. He, however, hits an uppercut for a two-count.
