AEW Dynamite Live Results (June 5, 2024): Bryan Danielson makes a huge announcement, The Young Bucks cut major stars' segment, MJF IS BACK!!!

Strickland makes his comeback with a Swerve Stomp over the top rope, onto the floor. He misses a House Call, but connects with it shortly after for the win.

Swerve Strickland retains

After back-and-forth action, Strong hits multiple elbow strikes. He connects with a huge kick for a two-count shortly after.

Swerve Strickland misses a Swerve Stomp. Roderick Strong drops Strickland on the apron after some distraction from the other Undisputed Kingdom members.

Roderick Strong almost steals the win with a roll up. Strickland connects with a powerslam for a two-count.

Strickland with a hit on Strong's back and he drops Strong on the ropes. Swerve hits a flatliner and follows up with a brainbuster for a two-count.

Strong is wearing Strickand down and gets another two-count over the champion. Roderick Strong has Swerve Strickland's head and neck captured. He looks for a backbreaker, but Swerve connects with a mid-air Swerve Stomp.

After some brief action, Swerve Strickland slams Roderick Strong on the steel post. He, however, misses a Swerve Stomp on the apron and Strong drops him. Nearfall for Strong.

Strong comes in with some stiff chops, but Strickland targets hits challenger's knee with a running dropkick. Strickland looks for the Swerve Stomp, but is stopped after a slight distraction from Matt Taven. Strong hits a backbreaker on the top turnbuckle to get the upperhand.

Both stars lock up in the middle of the ring. Roderick Strong trips Swerve Strickland and applies a front face lock. Swerve drops Strong with a tiharas and follows up with a hip toss. Strong avoids a House Call and regroups on the outside.

Bryan Danielson says his final year isn't over yet. He says winning the Owen Hart Cup and challenging for the world title is his last shot at glory. He is going to give it all. So, Bryan Danielson officially enters himself in the Owen Hart Cup.

Bryan Danielson is in a backstage segment. He is happy about Wheeler Yuta's return. Danielson says his final year hasn't been what he hoped for. He brings up all of his loses in big matches. Danielson says he was down after losing the Anarchy in the Arena.

Chris Jericho gives another advice. This time to Private Party. He tells that parties should be kept open or something.

Post-match, Toni Storm slips before entering the ring to look after Mariah May. Saraya and Harley Cameron lay out a beatdown before Mina Shirakawa makes the save. Shirakawa and Storm have a strange interaction in the ring.

Saraya gets back in the match by dropping Mariah May on her head for a nearfall. Saraya applies the Rampaige submission move to pick up the win over May.

Mariah May connects with the hip attack on Saraya, but only a two-count.

May then takes Saraya down from the turnbuckles with a handstand hurricanrana. She hits a dropkick on Saraya for a two-count.

Both stars take each other down with crossbodies. They then exchange strikes before May unloads on Saraya. Mariah May hits a headbutt and follows up with a running elbow strike.

Saraya continues her antics at ringside and eventually slams Mariah May on the barricade. Back in the ring, Saraya gets a two-count over May. Saraya is dominating Mariah May and she chokes her in the corner.

Saraya attacks Mariah May before the bell even rings. May turns things around quickly and overpowers Saraya. May chases her around the ring.

Saraya returns to action next against Mariah May.

The Patriarchy make an appearance in The Young Bucks' office. Christian Cage says he was cheated out of his title match. Matthew Jackson says the EVPs still have pull and forms an alliance with Cage's faction.

The Acclaimed and Billy Gunn confront The Young Bucks backstage. They say eventually the EVPs will have to come face-to-face with them before walking away.

Chris Jericho teaches someone backstage how to eat chicken. We see a video package involving Daniel Garcia.

After some back-and-forth, Jon Moxley hits a lariat on Rugido. Volador Jr. connects with the Deja Vu on Claudio. But Danielson hits the Busaikuu on Volador Jr. Rugido tries to steal the win, but Yuta turns things around and gets the pin with the help of some tights.

Blackpool Combat Club win

Claudio hits the giant swing on Magnus. Jon Moxley follows up with a dropkick. Volador Jr. almost steals the win over Claudio, but Danielson breaks the count.

Esfinge tosses Claudio in the ring and almost gets the win over the Swiss star. Esfinge misses a crossbody and Moxley takes him down with a cutter. Magnus with double knees on Yuta in the corner.

Danielson with some kicks in the corner before Moxley is tagged in. Jon Moxley chokes Magnus on the ropes. Magnus rocks Mox with an enziguiri and tags in Esfinge. He takes all BCC members down.

The BCC members dominate the match. Magnus has been isolated by Blackpool Combat Club. Claudio connects with some heavy chops on the chest. Magnus gets few strikes in, but gets cornered once again.

Esfinge hits a sprinboard dropkick on Jon Moxley and Claudio Castagnoli. Magnus hits the Tiger Fang Kick on Danielson as Rugido gets a two-count. Wheeler Yuta comes in.

Blackpool Combat Club vs. Volador Jr., Esfinge, Magnus, Rugido

Things break down with all 8 men battling at ringside. Bryan Danielson and Rugido are in the ring. They exchange strikes before Rugido takes Danielson down.

Jon Moxley comes out for his match next. The other BCC members Bryan Danielson, Claudio Castagnoli and Wheeler Yuta follow.

Mercedes Mone puts Stephanie Vaquer on notice in a vignette ahead of Forbidden Door.

Swerve Strickland cuts a backstage promo about MJF and Will Opsreay. He also says that next time Team AEW battle The Elite, he wants to be a part of it as the AEW World Champion.

The Acclaimed and Billy Gunn come out to the ring with Max Caster taking some shots at The Young Bucks with his rap. The Bucks appear on the titanron and say no one disparages the EVPs. They cut The Acclaimed's segment.

Chris Jericho approaches Daddy Magic and Cool Hand Ang backstage. He has commentary tips for Magic and parenting tips for Ang.

Samoa Joe and Hook are in a backstage segment. The Premiere Athletes confront them and try to rile up Hook. They almost have a brief scuffle as Joe calms Hook down.

Jack Perry cuts a promo from backstage and says he cannot be stopped despite Tony Khan's efforts. Perry says he is the next TNT Champion.

Briscoe hits an uppercut and knocks Cage with a death valley driver. Mark Briscoe then connects with the Froggy Bow for the win.

Mark Briscoe takes Brian Cage on the outside and gets another nearfall shortly after. Brian Cage with some stiff elbow strikes and connects with the Weapon X for a two-count. He then hits a Liger Bomb for another nearfall.

Mark Briscoe makes his comeback with some forearm strikes and follows up with an uppercut. He then hits an elbow strike and a big boot. Briscoe hits an uranage for a two-count.

Brian Cage with some vicious chops. Cage hits a backbreaker in the middle of the ring and gets a two-count. The Machine wears Briscoe down with a headlock.

Brian Cage powers Mark Briscoe back in the ring. Briscoe briefly has some offense, but Cage connects with a back elbow to take him down. Cage gets a two-count shortly after.

Briscoe hits a diving dropkick on the outside before trying to bring a steel chair into play. The referee tosses the chair away. Cage makes his comeback with a lariat on the floor and slams Briscoe on the barricades.

Brian Cage overpowers Mark Briscoe early on. He then hits some lariats in the corner before Briscoe sends him outside with a boot to the face.

Christopher Daniels comes out and brings up the ladder match for the TNT Championship. He announces Mark Briscoe for a qualifying match.

Willow Nightingale is in a backstage segment. She congratulates Mercedes Mone before saying she will settle the score with Mone later. Willow says Stokely Hathaway betraying her is whatever, but Kris Statlander's heel turn shocked her. Willow says she is more dangerous after the betrayal.

We see Chris Jericho, Bryan Keith and Big Bill enter the arena. Jericho is in his goofy self and he points out some flaws in the camera work before entering the building.

Post-match, Don Callis and Trent Beretta walk down to the ring. Callis hands Trent a chair before Orange Cassidy brings out a steel chain. Kris Statlander appears out of nowhere as Stokely Hathaway says Statlander can beat up OC.

Statlander slaps Cassidy before Willow Nightingale comes out for the save and chases the heels away.

OC connects with the Orange Punch on KOR. Jay Lethal comes in and hits the Lethal Injection on O'Reilly after the Lethal Combination on Cassidy. Towards the end of the match, Rey Fenix counters Jay Lethal and rolls him up for a sneak win.
