AEW Dynamite Results (October 12, 2022): Bryan Danielson betrayed, Jon Moxley fires up main rival, Major debut

WWE veteran hits back Saraya (fka Paige) after criticizing her for joining AEW

PAC's right ear has been busted open. He looks frustrated and goes for the title belt again but Danhausen is there at the timekeeper's area and he curses PAC. The ref catches PAC trying to cheat and stops him. With the referee's back turned, PAC grabs a hammer but this time Orange Cassidy grabs it.

Orange Cassidy hits a second Orange Punch followed by a third. PAC looks rocked and that's enough for the three count. A huge win for Orange Cassidy who is the new AEW All Atlantic Champion. This is his first title win in AEW!

Orange Cassidy hits a Beach Break on the apron. PAC looks rattled but he catches Orange Cassidy in midair and hits a Northern Lights Suplex. PAC quickly transitions it into a Brutalizer but Orange Cassidy breaks the hold bu reaching the ropes.

Orange Cassidy recovers and is all over PAC. He had the momentum behind him and hits a DDT out to the floor, followed by a second inside the ring. Cassidy then hits the Orange Punch for a nearfall.

Orange Cassidy is barely moving as PAC pulls him up the entrance ramp. PAC then hits the Undertaker's move, the Tombstone Piledriver, right on the entrance ramp. Cassidy looks done.

Orange Cassidy goes for the Orange Punch right away and misses. PAC is on top of things early on as the match spills out to ringside. Cassidy tries a dive but PAC catches him in mid-air and plants him.

The AEW Dynamite main event is next as PAC defends the All Atlantic Championship against Orange Cassidy.

Storm and Shida have Britt Baker isolated but Jamie Hayter breaks up the cover. Fans are going wild for Jamie Hayter but she's taken out by Shida. Storm follows it up with a dive to ringside. Meanwhile, Baker rolls up Shida in the ring but can't get the three count. Shida then rolls Britt Baker out of nowhere and it's enough for the win.

Things have broken down as Britt Baker grabs the glove from Rebel. Shida with right hands to both Baker and Hayter but she eats a double superkick. Hayter wipes Shida out with a lariat and the doctor follows it with a Curbstomp.

Toni Storm hits a neckbreaker and finally manages to tag out. Shida hits Britt Baker with repeated right hands and follows it up with a jumping knee strike. The former AEW Women's Champions rains down right hands in the corner on Britt Baker. Hayter tries to get involved but eats a suplex for her trouble. Shida then suplexes Baker onto Hayter.

Former WWE star and current AEW Women's Champion Toni Storm seems to be in a spot of bother as Hayter and Baker have her isolated in their corner.

Hikaru Shida and Jamie Hayter start things off. Hayter overpowers Shida early but gets taken down with a dropkick. Toni Storm tags in and clubs Hayter in the back of the head and neck followed by a running boot to the jaw. Toni Storm is on fire early on but Britt Baker smartly grabs her leg from ringside. Hayter lays Storm out with a superkick.

Chris Jericho gets ready to strike Bryan Danielson with the ROH World Championship belt. Daniel Garcia comes down to the ring to seemingly back him up. Danielson takes down Jericho but Daniel Garcia turns on him and wipes him out with a belt shot. Jericho then covers Danielson for the win.

Chris Jericho pushes Danielson into referee Paul Turner. The ref goes down and we see Daddy Magic tossing the ROH title belt into the ring.

Chris Jericho breaks free and hits a Fireman's Carry Slam, which looked a lot like John Cena's AA. Danielson hits back with a knee strike from the top rope. Danielson heads back to the top rope but Danielson catches him with a Codebreaker on the way down.

Chris Jericho somehow breaks out of the hold and locks in the Liontamer. Danielson maneuvers out of it and lays in the ground and pound, raining down elbow strikes. Jericho locks in his own version of the Liontamer.

Chris Jericho hits Danielson with a springboard dropkick to the apron. He then leaps over the rope and wipes out Danielson at ringside. Jericho then rolls the former WWE Champion back into the ring and heads to the top rope. Danielson stops Jericho in his tracks and hits a Buttlerfly Suplex off the top rope. Danielson then locks in the Labelle Lock in the middle of the ring.

Bryan Danielson uses all his experience to find an opening. He works on Jericho's lower back. Both men trade chops in the corner and Danielson unleashes a series of kicks followed by a bodyslam.

Bryan Danielson hits back with chops of his own. Jericho is now perched on the middle turnbuckle and hits Danielson with a hurricanrana. With Danielson down, Jericho soaks in the love from the fans in Canada.

A strong start for Bryan Danielson as he takes the fight to Jericho. Danielson with multiple punches in the corner and Jericho looks to be in a spot of bother. The Lionheart hits back with a series of chops and right hands of his own in the opposite corner.

Jon Moxley added that he felt the former champ was soft and if he had a chance to finish Mox off last week, he wouldn't be able to pull the trigger. Hangman says that he has nothing now and he's angry, frustrated and anxious with how things have gone recently, including his friends disappearing and he goes on to talk about why he's a man. This is some fantastic promo work from Hangman Page and even MJF seemingly approves as he munches his popcorn.

Hangman grabs the mic from Moxley and tells the AEW World Champion to say what he has, right to his face. Hangman praises Moxley for being a hell of a champion as well as a fantastic father and husband. We see MJF looking on from the box. Hangman takes an issue with Moxley calling him "a nice kid" last week on Dynamite. Moxley affirms that the former world champion was indeed a kid in his opinion.

Moxley then goes to call out Hangman Page but the former world champion joins him in the ring.

Tony Schiavone invites AEW World Champion Jon Moxley to join him in the ring. Moxley said it was good to be back in Toronto after three years before saying that as world champion, he had swatted away all challengers. He says that as champion you have to be "ruthless and indiscriminate", calling it a dirty job.

The Acclaimed and Billy Gunn go to scissor in the ring but get interrupted by Mark Sterling and Tony Nese. Sterling says that he has a document that owns the trademark for 'Scissor Me' in professional wrestling. He then threatens to sue The Acclaimed if they do their trademark gesture.

Swerve goes to boot Billy Gunn in the head but he gets swatted away. Swerve then rolls up Billy Gunn and grabs hold of the bottom rope to get the three count.

Billy Gunn uses to opening to hit multiple clotheslines followed by a suplex. He goes for the Famouser but Swerve dodges it and hits a Flatliner. Swerve heads to the top rope and hits the Swerve Stomp but it can't put Gunn away. He kicks out at the last second.

The match spills out to ringside once again. Swerve is in full control at this point. Billy Gunn tries to get back into the ring and Swerve catches him with multiple shots across the midsection. Daddy Ass looks to be in trouble but hits a desperation Tilt-A-Whirl Slam to buy himself some time.

Swerve continues to dismantle Billy Gunn, taking down the WWE legend with a vicious strike to the back on the knee. Swerve continues to work on Daddy Ass' knee. Gunn tries to grab Swerve by the hair and lays in a couple of right hands to break free.

A strong start from Billy Gunn as he grounds Swerve Strickland. Swerve quickly hits back and Billy Gunn is forced out to ringside. Swerve follows Gunn to ringside and continues to punish the former DX member.
