Right then, Anshu Malik has crashed out of the event. She lost her opening bout yesterday, but made a comeback into the event via the repechage rule but failed to make the best use of the given opportunity. The Indian was just one win away from qualifying for the bronze medal match but she couldn't defeat ROC's Valeria Koblova.

Valeria Koblova scored a point in the first period of the match and led the game with a score of 1-0. Anshu Malik bounced back with a point to her name in the first minute of Period 2 to level scores. However, the Indian grappler fumbled during the last few seconds of the bout, which saw Koblova take advantage and bag four points. With that, the Russian Olympic Committee player advanced to the bronze medal match, while the Indian was forced to return home empty-handed.
