Hello and Welcome to our coverage of the Men's doubles match between Sharan/Ram and Melo/Kubot at the Hisense Court. The match is set to get underway shortly
Indo-American pair of Divij Sharan and Rajeev Ram will take on Marcelo Melo and Lukasz Kubot in the pre-quarters of the Australian Open on Monday.
Sharan and Ram have enjoyed a very successful campaign so far. The 16th seeds saw off V. Troicki and M. Copil in the first round with ease, winning 7-6, 6-4. But they had it a little more difficult in the second round when they came up against Fabio Fognini and Marcel Granollers.
After losing the first set 4-6, Sharan and Ram staged a brilliant comeback to take the next two sets 7-6, 6-2. It is the first time that Sharan will feature in the third round of the Australian Open.
However, the duo has their task cut out as they will take on the No. 1 seeds Melo and Kubot in the Round of 16, who are yet to lose a set in the tournament this year.
It will be an interesting match but it is unlikely that Sharan and Ram will progress to the quarters.
