Northern Warriors won the toss and requested the Bengal Tigers to bowl. A steady start from Roy and Narine set the platform for them to explode at the end. Viljeon was the lone wicket taker among the warriors who ended with a brilliant figures of 2-0-8-1.Some big blows from Rutherford and Roy propelled their score to 130 at the end of their quota. Roy made an unbeated 60 runs off 29 balls who was the standout performer with the bat. Chasing 131, The bowlers from Bengal Tigers didn't allow the Warriors to find fence which increased the required run rate at brisk pace. Wickets at regular interval hindered the Warriors even more. An excellent over from Aamer Yamin shut the little momentum that the Warriors got. Wahab Riaz hit hattrick boundaries in the last over to reduce the run difference as Tigers complete a clinical win over the Northern Warriors.
An excellent start from Mujeeb with the ball kept the Warriors under check. Simmons and Smith weren't able to find the boundaries which increased the reqd.run rate at the brisk pace. Double blow from Narine in the 5th over made the condition worse for the Warriors. Just when they got the momentum in their eighth over when they hit 24 runs of Ali Khan, Aamer Yamin bowled the best over in the T10 edition by picking 4 wickets of the first 4 balls and 2 dot balls to complete a maiden. Warriors end at 94-7 thus falling short by 36 runs to the Tiger's score of 130.

The first encounter of day two of the second edition of the T10 League sees Sam Billings' Bengal Tigers taking on Darren Sammy's Northern Warriors. Both teams will be hoping to kick start their tournament with a win.
It will be spin to win for the Bengal Tigers as they have an impressive spin trio of Sunil Narine, Mohammad Nabi and Mujeeb Ur Rahman to bank on. And it is not only that they boast of probably the best spin bowling line-up in the competition but they also have the England duo of Sam Billings and Jason Roy to lead their batting line-up.
There is a heavy tinge of Caribbean flavor in the Northern Warriors squad. Not only are they led by Darren Sammy but they also have plenty of power-hitting in the form of Rovman Powell, Nicholas Pooran and Andre Russell. If they get going, there could be plenty of fireworks.
