India at the Commonwealth Games Live updates & latest scores from Day 4 - Weightlifting, badminton, hockey & more, 01 Aug 2022

Right then, India clinches three medals on Day 4 of the Commonwealth Games 2022. They won one silver and bronze each in Judo, while they bagged one bronze medal in weightlifting. 

They won the Men's Team Semi-Final event 3 - 0 and have progressed to the finals. Meanwhile, they also qualified for the finals of the Mixed Team event in Badminton. India also defeated New Zealand in the Women's Fours Lawn Bowls event. All three teams have been guaranteed a medal in their respective events. 

A few players had disappointing performances on Day 4 of the Commonwealth Games. However, there’s a lot to look forward to tomorrow, with India likely to win more than three medals on Day 5 of the event. INDIA beat NIGERIA 3 - 0 in the Men's Team Event

Sathiyan Gnanasekaran defeats Nigeria's Olajide Omotayo 3 - 1 to storm India into the finals. He started with an 11 - 9 victory before losing 4 - 11 to the Nigerian in the 2nd game. However, Sathiyan got back to winning ways with scores of 11 - 6 and 11 - 8 in his next couple of games. 

They will now take on Singapore in a bid to bag the gold medal on August 2, Tuesday at 6:00 PM IST.

Ashish Kumar defeats Travis Tapatuetoa 5 - 0 in his Men's 80kg Round of 16 bout. He will now compete in the QF bout and will look to clinch a medal.

Sharath Kamal Achanta wins 3 - 1 in the Men's Singles against Nigeria's Quadri Aruna. He won the first game 11 - 9 but lost the second to the Nigerian 7 - 11. However, Sharath bounced back and registered victories with scores of 11 - 8 and 15 -13 in the next two games.

India's Srihari Nataraj will compete in the Men's 50m Backstroke Final. He finishes 5th with a time of 25.53.

HARJINDER KAUR WINS BRONZE! 
England finishes first, while Canada occupies third place. With the fan favourite Nigerian weightlifter failing to lift 125kg in any of her three attempts, Harjinder Kaur gets a bronze medal for India.

Lakshya Sen does a terrific job of beating Loh Kean Yew 21-18, 21-15, and with that, India also finished a 3-0 rout of Singapore!

Way too many shots to the net for Yew, and Sen pulls off a sensational victory.

A very tight match transpired and it eventually went down to the Golden score, where the South African made a successful throw down on the mat and picked up the all important point. Terrific effort from Sushila to take the match all the way down to the last few seconds, a fine display!
