HOCKEY: Women's Hockey Semi-Final

The Indian Women's Team lose the semi-final match but win our hearts once again. Absolute fighting spirit for our girls as they don't lose hope of winning the match until the very last moment. They fought and made a comeback during the final quarter. Moreover, the Indian defence and goalkeeper Savita Punia were at their best, not allowing Australia to convert a single penalty corner today. The Indian side also becomes the first team at the Commonwealth Games 2022 to breach the Hockeyroos' defence and score a goal against them.

India's star of the day, Savita Punia, saved Australia's first penalty attempt. However, a mistake from the organizers handed them an opportunity to re-take the penalty. The penalty was converted, leading to India's loss in morale and eventually failing to qualify for the Gold Medal match.
