So that'll be all from this rather one-sided contest. We might just see something interesting in Mohali tomorrow though with the Punjab Kings and the Lucknow Super Giants coming off a five-day break and contrasting results to go head-to-head at the IS Bindra Stadium. KL Rahul will be back in Mohali against a team he once used to lead. That's going to be a cracker, isn't it? Do join us for our coverage of the same right here on Sportskeeda while keeping yourselves updated with further cricketing news and action from around the world on this very platform. For the moment though, this is the duo of Pratyush Rohra and Sooryanarayanan Sesha taking your leave. Thank you so much for joining us as we hope you enjoyed our coverage. See you tomorrow - good night and take care!

23:36 (IST)27 APR 2023

A fabulous performance from a fabulous young talent that blew the Chennai Super Kings out of the water. Yashasvi Jaiswal is a talent who is here to stay and it won't be too long before we see him in the India blues at this rate. Rajasthan Royals are back to winning ways and we've seen a swap in positions in the points table with CSK's net run-rate taking a dip below that of the Gujarat Titans as they slip into third spot. Still a long way to go before all those calculations come into play but the teams will just need to keep those wins coming in order to stay on course for a top-four finish.

23:31 (IST)27 APR 2023

Yashasvi Jaiswal is the Player of the Match. Here is what he has to say: I enjoyed both (Player of the Match awards). A little bit because I was trying to hit the ball when hitting and keeping the wind in mind. It was clear in my mind that I have to go and score runs for my team, and take the opportunities for boundaries in the powerplay and beyond. (Work behind the scenes) It's just not now, I have been working hard in my practice sessions. It's a blessing to play under Sanga sir. I've been talking to Dhoni sir, and Virat bhaiya and that's helping me understand the game a lot better and deal with the pressure. It's about realizing the pressure and wanting to be there in the middle, finding ways to deal with it. (Century on his mind?) I was not thinking of it all. I was looking to keep my run rate high and looking to get the team to 200. It was only about scoring runs and looking for options to do that.

23:31 (IST)27 APR 2023

Sanju Samson (Rajasthan Royals captain): I think winning this game, the team atmosphere and the dugout really wanted it and the fans also really wanted this game. Also happy it's our first win in Jaipur (this season). We can't just go one-dimensional right? If you're playing a game at Chinnaswamy or at Wankhede where dew comes in you will prefer to chase. Looking at the conditions, our bowling and the sky which was quite cloudy, I felt there wouldn't be much dew today. If you win you're smiling, if you don't you're on the other side. That's the beauty of this game. Even when we batted the way all the youngsters, Jaiswal, DDP and Dhruv Jurel especially (batted)...we definitely look at Jos, myself and Hettie to do the job but the way the youngsters batted, they were looking to just attack and attack and attack. We're very proud of them. (On Jaiswal) Credit has to go to the team management, the support staff and the guys working behind with him. He has been at the RR Academy staying all year and hitting hundreds of balls. There's a lot of work that has gone behind his success and there's a lot more coming from him.

23:21 (IST)27 APR 2023

Adam Zampa: We've been under the pump in the last few games, we haven't been at our best. The boys put up a great score on a tricky wicket. It was on the slower side. I've been in and out of the side. So, for me, to take a few wickets was nice. (Lines and lengths on this pitch) I saw Theekshana bowl with a bit of extra pace. It was all about getting into the wicket and letting the pitch do the rest. (Jaiswal and Jurel) Two young players but great to watch. Today, the way they got us off to a flier and finished the innings to post 203 was a great effort. (How he prepares) I've been playing cricket for a long time now. Played enough last year also, so I just have to be mentally ready. Train a little bit, have a nice time, and enjoy the pool side.

23:18 (IST)27 APR 2023

MS Dhoni (Chennai Super Kings captain): It was quite an above par score. The reason were the first six overs, we gave away too many, and at the same time, the wicket was best to bat then. The bowlers did well in the middle and at the death, there were 5-6 boundaries scored of edges. They got a par-plus score and we didn't get the best of starts in the first six overs. (Unfortunate at the death bowling) You have to accept it. I felt his (Pathirana) bowling was really good. There will be a few deliveries when the batter will play the big shots but the scorecard doesn't reflect how well he bowled. Yashasvi batted really well. It was important to go after the bowlers at the start. He took calculative risks and it was easier for him to take on our bowlers because we were trying to find out the best line and lengths to bowl on this pitch. You're always doing the catch-up after that. At the end, Jurel also batted really well as well. (Crowds) They'll be chasing me throughout. It's a very special venue, it is very close to my heart. I got my first ODI hundred in Vizag and that gave me a run of 10 more games. The 183 I scored here gave me another year. We've been playing all around but it's good to be back here.

23:13 (IST)27 APR 2023

Match Summary: Rajasthan Royals beat Chennai Super Kings by 32 runs.

Yashasvi Jaiswal 77 (43) | Adam Zampa 3/22 (3)
Shivam Dube 52 (33) | Tushar Deshpande 2/42 (4)

Such a clinical performance to return to winning ways and the Rajasthan Royals go level with the Chennai Super Kings and Gujarat Titans on points. A convincing victory after winning the toss and choosing to bat the opposition out of the contest and on the back of Yashasvi Jaiswal's pristine 77, they were always ahead of the contest before Dhruv Jurel ensured that they posted the first 200-plus total at this venue.

It was the exact opposite though as far as CSK were concerned. They never got that start they needed in the powerplay with Sandeep Sharma in particular bowling very nagging lines and lengths. Devon Conway, fresh of four half-centuries on the bounce, looked incredibly scratchy and even as Ruturaj Gaikwad picked up pace, Conway couldn't make up for lost time with CSK always behind the asking rate.

That's how the entire innings transpired - with the Super Kings trying to play catch up, the Royals kept it very simple and bowled to their field. It wasn't easy to clear the infield with the ball stopping in the pitch and despite Gaikwad trying to do so, he wasn't able to succeed. His departure really brought the curtains down on the chase with Ajinkya Rahane not able to get going, even as Shivam Dube and Moeen Ali launched a counter-punch with the asking rate touching 15.

If anything though, that number only mounted with the Royals ensuring that they never felt the heat. Moeen played a few lovely shots while anything in Dube's arc traveled the distance. Every time Adam Zampa was called upon though, he delivered for his skipper as he walked away with a three-for to his name. He didn't finish his spell, nor did Yuzvendra Chahal, with Samson clearly holding them back for MS Dhoni. Once the CSK skipper never came out to bat though, he didn't find the need to use them.

He got every move spot on today and even as Dube notched up a half-century, it just got out of bounds. The crowd didn't get to see MSD bat but fans of the Royals will be mighty pleased with how they've roared back after botching up a couple of chases they shouldn't have. The Super Kings' net run-rate has taken a bit of a hit too with this but not the case for the Royals, whose already potent net run-rate has gone soaring up. Stay tuned for the presentations...

23:10 (IST)27 APR 2023

That is a fantastic last over from Kuldip Yadav! Mind you, the game was pretty much in the bag but to still come out and deliver in the manner he has is quite exceptional. Duly caps it off with a wicket and it's a resounding victory for the Rajasthan Royals, who make their 200th IPL appearance a happy memory!

23:10 (IST)27 APR 2023

End of over 20 (4 runs), Chennai Super Kings 170/6

Shivam Dube 52(33)
Ravindra Jadeja 23(15)
Kuldip Yadav 18/1

23:10 (IST)27 APR 2023

19.6 Kuldip Yadav to Shivam Dube

OUT! Rajasthan Royals do the double over the Chennai Super Kings! It was in the slot for Dube but he can't get underneath this one. Heaves it straight down Buttler's throat at long-on to bring an end to the proceedings. Rajasthan Royals win by 32 runs and regain top spot!

23:10 (IST)27 APR 2023

19.5 Kuldip Yadav to Ravindra Jadeja

low full toss on the middle stump line. Jadeja hoists it towards deep mid-wicket where Jaiswal does well to prevent the boundary

23:09 (IST)27 APR 2023

This is outstanding from the young lad! He's showing what he's capable of himself.

23:09 (IST)27 APR 2023

19.4 Kuldip Yadav to Shivam Dube

another wide yorker, the execution from the RR bowlers has been top class. Dube shovels it out to sweeper cover for a single

23:08 (IST)27 APR 2023

19.3 Kuldip Yadav to Ravindra Jadeja

another yorker wide outside the off-stump. Jadeja smashes it down to long-off for a single

23:07 (IST)27 APR 2023

19.2 Kuldip Yadav to Shivam Dube

another wide yorker outside the off-stump. Dube mistimes his bunt back over the bowler's head for a single down the ground

23:07 (IST)27 APR 2023

19.1 Kuldip Yadav to Shivam Dube

picking up where Holder left off. Taking pace off for the wide yorker, Dube swings and misses. That should be that.

23:06 (IST)27 APR 2023

Kuldip Yadav [2.0-0-14-0] to bowl the final over of the innings

23:06 (IST)27 APR 2023

So this is how it is - six sixes will tie the game. Simple equation eh? In a manner of speaking, of course. CSK need to try and get as many as they can though. They saw their net run-rate receive a massive boost in the last game and they have to ensure that it doesn't nosedive by a big margin. Chennai Super Kings require 37 runs to win off the final over!

23:05 (IST)27 APR 2023

End of over 19 (9 runs), Chennai Super Kings 166/5

Ravindra Jadeja 21(13)
Shivam Dube 50(29)
Jason Holder 49/0

23:05 (IST)27 APR 2023

18.6 Jason Holder to Ravindra Jadeja

FOUR! Misses his yorker on this occasion and he didn't go wide with it either. Jadeja sits back in his crease and muscles it past the bowler to end the over with a boundary

23:05 (IST)27 APR 2023

Another half-century for Shivam Dube! His 6th in the IPL and his third in as many innings. Barely a raise of the bat though as he knows the result is beyond his team now. But he has delivered consistently for CSK this year.

23:04 (IST)27 APR 2023

18.5 Jason Holder to Shivam Dube

FIFTY FOR DUBE! It'll be a half-century in vain but don't let that take anything away from Dube. It's been some knock. In the block hole outside off, jammed out to long-off for a single

23:04 (IST)27 APR 2023

42 needed off 8...

23:04 (IST)27 APR 2023

18.4 Jason Holder to Ravindra Jadeja

another yorker outside the off-stump. Jadeja drills it down to long-off for one

23:03 (IST)27 APR 2023

That sound might have been that of bat hitting the ground. Indeed it was!

23:02 (IST)27 APR 2023

18.3 Jason Holder to Ravindra Jadeja

Samson appeals, Samson reviews. Another full and wide delivery outside off, and Jadeja attempted to sweep it. There was a sound as the ball passed the bat and there's a deflection too, by the looks of it. UltraEdge confirms a spike but that may have been the ball hitting the turf and nothing else. It's still a win for RR. Dot ball.

23:02 (IST)27 APR 2023

18.2 Jason Holder to Ravindra Jadeja

another perfect yorker wide outside the off-stump. Jadeja squeezes it out to deep point for a tap and return

23:02 (IST)27 APR 2023

Cover, backward point and mid-off are back. The line's going to be wide of off stump then.

23:01 (IST)27 APR 2023

18.1 Jason Holder to Shivam Dube

finds the wide yorker outside the off-stump. Dube drills it to deep extra cover for a single

23:01 (IST)27 APR 2023

Chants of 'Dhoni! Dhoni!'. Oh the crowd wants him badly!

23:00 (IST)27 APR 2023

Jason Holder [3.0-0-40-0] is back into the attack

23:00 (IST)27 APR 2023

He swatted that one into the gap! Just past the square leg umpire and even if CSK fall short here, they'd want to minimize the damage as much as they possibly can. Looks like Dube's presence has forced Samson from not turning to Chahal. Kuldip Yadav or Jason Holder, if not both, will have to bowl an over then. Chennai Super Kings require 46 runs off 2 overs at 23.00 RPO.

22:59 (IST)27 APR 2023

End of over 18 (12 runs), Chennai Super Kings 157/5

Ravindra Jadeja 14(9)
Shivam Dube 48(27)
Sandeep Sharma 24/0

22:59 (IST)27 APR 2023

17.6 Sandeep Sharma to Ravindra Jadeja

FOUR! That keeps CSK in the game, just about. Low full toss outside the off-stump, Jadeja heaves it through mid-wicket and finds the gap in front of square

22:59 (IST)27 APR 2023

17.5 Sandeep Sharma to Shivam Dube

low full toss wide outside the off-stump. Dube miscues his bunt for a slice towards sweeper cover for one

22:58 (IST)27 APR 2023

That was a surprise bouncer from Sandeep. Don't think Jadeja saw it coming. CSK need these next two deliveries to go out of the park to stay there or thereabouts with the asking rate!

22:58 (IST)27 APR 2023

17.4 Sandeep Sharma to Ravindra Jadeja

bangs it in short on this occasion. Jadeja swats it to deep square leg for a single

22:57 (IST)27 APR 2023

Brings up the 150 for the Chennai Super Kings!

22:57 (IST)27 APR 2023

17.3 Sandeep Sharma to Ravindra Jadeja

FOUR! Low full toss in the channel outside the off-stump. Jadeja didn't get all of it but he's got enough to wallop it in the gap at cow corner for a boundary

22:57 (IST)27 APR 2023

Very clever field placement with third man kept extremely straight. Meanwhile, the DJ shouts out 'WE WANT', only for the crowd to respond with 'DHONI'

22:57 (IST)27 APR 2023

17.2 Sandeep Sharma to Shivam Dube

finds the yorker outside the off-stump. Dube jams it down of time, getting a thick outside edge to short third man for a single

22:56 (IST)27 APR 2023

17.1 Sandeep Sharma to Ravindra Jadeja

pitched up outside the off-stump. Jadeja sits deep in his crease and muscles it down to long-off for a single. He can't afford to do this for much longer though

22:55 (IST)27 APR 2023

Chahal won't bowl his four as it turns out. Sandeep will bowl out.

22:55 (IST)27 APR 2023

Extremely clever! This outfield is lightning-quick and Dube has thread the gaps beautifully on two occasions that over. Such is the situation though that the asking rate is nearing the 20-run mark. Dube is doing his best but gosh, this is a mountainous task on hand for the visitors. Chennai Super Kings require 58 runs off 3 overs at 19.33 RPO.

22:54 (IST)27 APR 2023

End of over 17 (16 runs), Chennai Super Kings 145/5

Shivam Dube 46(25)
Ravindra Jadeja 4(5)
Jason Holder 40/0

22:54 (IST)27 APR 2023

16.6 Jason Holder to Shivam Dube

FOUR! Everything he touches turns to gold. Unfortunate for Holder as he nails another wide yorker. Third man was inside the circle though, so all Dube had to do was squeeze it past Zampa to end the over with a boundary

22:54 (IST)27 APR 2023

16.5 Jason Holder to Ravindra Jadeja

full and wide outside the off-stump. Jadeja sweeps it to mid-wicket and takes off for a single, making it safely after a fumble from the fielder

22:53 (IST)27 APR 2023

Jadeja has to go big here.

22:53 (IST)27 APR 2023

16.4 Jason Holder to Shivam Dube

sticks to the wide yorker outside the off-stump. Dube drives it on the full and picks up a single at sweeper cover

22:52 (IST)27 APR 2023

16.3 Jason Holder to Shivam Dube

FOUR! How has that run away to the boundary. Holder stuck to the plan with the wide yorker and Dube only squeezed it out through backward point. The timing and the outfield took care of the rest, beating Zampa at third man
