Sanju Samson Biography
Sanju Viswanath Samson is an Indian cricketer, who was born on 11 November 1994 in Kerala, India. He is a young promising wicketkeeper-batsman (right-handed).
Sanju began his career as playing for Kerala U-13 team. He was also the captain of that team. Not only that, he also went on to captain the Kerala U-16 and U19 teams and got to play for Kerala in Ranji trophy at just an age of 15 years.
In 2015, he was made the captain of Kerala in Ranji team and thus, became the youngest player to captain a side till that time.
His strong Ranji performances earned him an opportunity to play for India in T20s against Zimbabwe in 2015. It didn't turn out be a good match for him as he only managed to score 19 runs off 24 deliveries, and since then he has never played for India again.
Rise to Glory
Samson has not played enough of international cricket, but his performances in Indian Premier League has always kept him in the limelight.
He first came into the headlines when he played for Rajasthan Royals 2013 season and after seeing his performance he was retained for the next year also.
Sanju Samson began his IPL career with Kolkata Knight Riders but he didn't get a chance to play for them. After playing for three years from Rajasthan Royals(RR), Sanju became an important part of their batting line up.
But in 2016, when RR was axed from the IPL, Samson was bought by Delhi Daredevils and he didn't disappoint them too as in 2017, he ended as their third highest run getter.
In 2017, he became the youngest batsman to score 1000 runs in IPL. Also, he achieved the feat of scoring a fifty as the youngest player.
