Dark match before SmackDown with Kane vs Alex Reynolds; Main Event matches taped.

In a dark match before SmackDown, Kane faced Northeast indie wrestler Alex Reynolds from Tommy Dreamer’s House of Hardcore promotion. Reynolds even had a pre match promo where he spoke about how he lost everything he owned to pay off his gambling debts and was there to beg for the audiences’ money as a loan for a big payday at the Mohegan Sun Casino.

WWE also taped two matches for their Main Event episode this week the first being Eric Rowan vs Rhyno and the other one, Zack Ryder & Mojo Rawley vs The Vaudevillains.

Randy Orton appears on SmackDown after recent injuries:
After their match on SummerSlam, Brock Lesnar left Randy Orton in a literal puddle of his own blood having sustained a brutal pummeling from the Beast. The WWE medical crew had rushed in and it was later confirmed that Orton needed 10 stitches in his forehead and it wasn’t known if he would be fit to attend SmackDown Live! on Tuesday night.

Orton did show up however, fit enough to stand in the ring and talk about how he “knew what he was getting into”. He also said he was disappointed with the fact that Shane had to rush to his aide even after the match was declared before he was interrupted by Bray Wyatt with whom Randy will probably feud in the recent weeks.

Things got heated after SmackDown Live went off the air in a 6-man match:
After WWE SmackDown Live! went off the air yesterday night, there was a 6-man tag team match involving John Cena, Roman Reigns, and Dean Ambrose on one side of the ring, vs Bray Wyatt, Eric Rowan and Seth Rollins on the other. The match was quite eventful as it was the first time John Cena came out to the SmackDown ring since his match at SummerSlam with A.J. Styles.

Mick Foley reacts to The Miz - Daniel Bryan’s segment on Talking Smack:

This Tuesday, on Renee Young’s WWE Talking Smack show on the WWE Network, guests Daniel Bryan made a comment calling The Miz a coward in the ring and that blew up on his face in a huge way as it touched a nerve with The MIz who became visibly angry at Bryan’s words. He went on to describe how he’s the one in the ring, beating up his opponents and defending the championship while people like Bryan, the Smack Down live! GM and the fans like to sit around and make fun of his abilities.

RAW GM Mick Foley also commented on social media noticing that The Miz is one of the greatest Inter-Continental champions and is not one to be taken as lightly as we have in the past.

Maryse Comments On Daniel Bryan - Miz Heated Segment On 'Talking Smack':

Bayley set for a huge push following main roster debut:

With Sasha Banks’ injury keeping her away from her fans, WWE have decided to push the newest babyface on their RAW roster, straight to the top. Albeit not as much as Finn Balor’s RAW debut, Bayley’s first appearance on RAW was extremely well received by the fans. Part of it is that she symbolizes the PG era of WWE with her “I’m a Hugger” gimmick and has won the hearts of young fans around the world. It looks like Bayley will be booked straight to the top of the RAW Women’s division and not as an underdog like everyone had thought.

Dudley Boyz retirement update:

WWE, in the past, have faked retirement news to generate cheap heat for their heels but this time, the Dudley Boyz retirement seems to be legit even though fans had assumed otherwise. This Monday night, the Dudley Boyz came out to a hero’s welcome and got a standing ovation from the audience as well as members of the WWE after they announced their retirement.

PWInsider, however believes that the retirement could have been staged to create heat for The Club as well as the RAW crew. The site had previously reported that WWE had reached an agreement with Bother Ray and D-Von and they would be getting a contract extension. Although it's now being said that those plans were nixed due to unknown reason and both sides decided to end their stint on friendly terms.

While they might not be full-time members of the main roster anymore, there is still a chance for them to show up due to their retirement speech being left incomplete.

Brock Lesnar Punished for SummerSlam Incident:
WWE announced on Tuesday that WWE RAW "commissioner" Stephanie McMahon has fined Brock Lesnar "$500 for his assault on Randy Orton and F5 to Shane McMahon" at Sunday night's WWE SummerSlam pay-per-view.

The announcement was first made on the WWE SmackDown pre-show. As noted earlier, Stephanie announced on RAW that there would be “repercussions” to Lesnar as a result of his actions at the pay-per-view event.

During Tuesday night's WWE SmackDown Live! broadcast, there was a backstage segment where Shane McMahon was talking with WWE referee Charles Robinson. The new SmackDown backstage announcer came up to McMahon and asked about Brock Lesnar. McMahon said Lesnar crossed the line. She said Stephanie McMahon agreed with him and said Lesnar would face repercussions.

McMahon said Stephanie fined Lesnar $500 and she's clearly not taking it seriously. She asked if McMahon thought it was fair and McMahon said "This thing with me and Brock Lesnar is far from over."
