GRADE FOR WWE NXT FOR MAY 13, 2025: B-.
The Dempsey/Femi match and the main event tag team match were the best of the night. Fallon and Jacy carried the promo segment and held their own in the tag bout. The D'Angelo/Stacks stuff is a good way to write him out of NXT. Paxley's descent is understandable. Some characters have weird motivations. Jaida Parker is mad people get in "her business," but she interrupts nearly everyone to kickstart it. Jordan was mad at Zaria for hitting her with a wrestling move. Borne looked good in his match with Page.

The ref hands the NXT Women's Title to Vaquer, and they hold each other's arms up to end the show. Grace has eyes on the belt. We then pivot to Ricky Saints backstage.

It appears Ethan Page attacked him inside the building and not in the most dangerous parking lot in Florida.

Vaquer gets sent from the ring, leaving Grace against Fallon and Jacy. She kicks Henley to the outside after breaking from a hold. The Juggernaut hits the Grace Driver on Jayne for the win.
RESULT: JORDYNNE GRACE and STEPHANIE VAQUER defeat Fallon Henley and Jacy Jayne by pin.

GRADE: B+.
Fallon and Jacy should be on the main roster already. They mesh well with any stars who come through, whether high-flying, strike-based, or technical. That was evident here as they outsmarted Grace a few times.

The Juggernaut takes care of both members of Fatal Influence. She hits a Spinebuster on Jacy and a Senton Driver on Henley, but Jacy busts up the pin attempt. Fallon hits a suplex variant, but Grace shrugs it off. Jacy comes in to save Fallon, but Vaquer recovers. All four women exchange punches and kicks. Grace goes for a suplex, but Jacy kicks her in the leg, leading to Fallon landing a DDT. They go for a High-Low on Vaquer, but Grace pushes the Champ out of the way to absorb the impact.

Henley and Jacy have Vaquer neutralized in their corner. Jacy hits a big boot to Vaquer's face before landing more kicks in the corner. The champ fights back with a Superkick counter in the corner. Henley and Grace tag in.

Jacy pulls Grace off the apron so the champ cannot tag her in. Henley takes care of Vaquer in the ring while Jacy hits a Cannonball on Grace. Henley adds a crossbody off the apron.

Grace bashes Fallon with strikes while looking at Vaquer. Vaquer hits a blind tag and hits a springboard crossbody. Fallon trips Vaquer on the ropes. Jacy hits a suplex for two. The opponents trade pin attempts. Vaquer teases going for the Devil's Kiss, but she goes for a headlock instead. The champ reverses a suplex before hitting a Codebreaker on Fallon while falling on Jacy.

Main event time as Stephanie Vaquer and Jordynne Grace take on Fallon Henley and Jacy Jayne.

Yay. We're getting a "rap performance" from Trick Williams next week.

Hank and Tank walk over to Briggs in the locker room. He's sad that Inamura went back to Japan after an unsuccessful stint. He's upset because he thinks he pushed him away. Hank and Tank console him until Shawn Spears confronts him. He calls Briggs a cancer since he's damaged two of his biggest relationships. Ava then grants Uriah Connors and Kale Dixon their debut match next week for a revamped Chase U. They get to face a returning OTM.

Hendry says that after he beats Trick at Battleground, Trick's 15 minutes of fame will expire.

Trick says Hendry is only a social media sensation while he's bigger than both brands cuz he's "Hollywood Trick."

Shouldn't Santino be there? Ava tries to sound like a human, but instead comes across like she's reading off a cue card. Trick blames Joe for "taking away what means the most to him," the NXT Title (shot), but he lost a few times before losing the battle royal. Hendry says that if anyone should know what it's like about taking risks and breaking rules to stand out, it's Trick, but he turned into a whiny child. Trick immediately takes exception.

The contract signing between TNA Champion Joe Hendry and Trick Williams was apparently pre-taped, presumably so Trick doesn't go on a rampage destroying stuff since he didn't get his way.

Jaida is in the locker room laughing at Hail's situation. Kelani Jordan then walks in looking for Sol and Zaria, who are in the background. She's mad that Zaria speared her through the barricade last week. She's mad that a wrestler hit her with a wrestling move in a wrestling match. Jordan then tries to stir the pot by saying Zaria was jealous that Sol caught her in her arms. They'll run it back next week, presumably with Kelani getting her win back and a triple threat at Battleground.

Paxley hits a flipping legdrop for a near fall. Hail recovers and lands a flurry of moves. She goes for a suplex, but Hail counters into a Kimura Lock. Paxley breaks it with the ropes. Thea hits a slam before countering into the Key lock. Tatum gouges Hail's eyes to break the submission, but is disqualified. The crowd then chants FOR Paxley.
RESULT: THEA HAIL defeats Tatum Paxley by disqualification.

GRADE: B-.
Some innovative offense, but a strange ending as the fans cheered for the heel in the situation.

Thea tries to get Pax to relax, but it doesn't work. Thea hits a kick and a standing moonsault for two. Paxley kicks Thea in the gut on the way down from a move. She lays in several punches to drop Hail to the mat. Jaida Parker is shown watching backstage. Vic says she's watching because Thea stuck her nose in something that wasn't her business, but Parker interrupted their conversation and mocked them both. Parker's mouth created the situation.

We then go to the safehouse with The Don and some goons. He tells the other goon to get some backup as he walks to the front door. Stacks attacks him from behind with a crowbar. Stacks says he humiliated D'Angelo by choice at Stand & Deliver. He'll put an end to the D'Angelo Family once and for all at Battleground.

Things are heating up in the NXT women's division!

Up next is Thea Hail vs. Tatum Paxley.

Jacy looks like she's ready for Halloween.

We see an exchange from Evolve's Sean Legacy. He respects Je'Von Evans' journey on the indies as he's going through it now. Ashante Adonis is in the locker room as Evans watches the video. Adonis says some nonsense mocking Evolve and Evans' path. Ricky Saints walks in and says he'd like to see them square off, and the winner may get to face him after Battleground.

Page drops a dropkick, but it looked like he was going for a leg-lock counter. All Ego goes to the top for a move, but Borne pushes him down before hitting a kick. Page recovers again, landing a big boot. Page goes for his finishers, but Borne counters it into a roll-up pin for the win.
RESULT: MYLES BORNE defeats Ethan Page by pin.

GRADE: B-.
Some good exchanges and counters. A little slow in spots. A sign of what's likely in future NXT matches with slower-paced offerings.

Borne lands some European Uppercuts before sending Page to the outside. Back in the ring off the commercials, Page hits a superplex for a near fall. Borne recovers to hit a snap powerslam a la Randy Orton. He hits a splash in the corner and an Angle Slam for two.

Myles Borne battles Ethan Page for the Battleground title shot against Oba Femi. Borne gets in an arm drag, but Page quickly takes control of the contest. After the earlier verbal exchange, a tag team match between Grace/Vaquer and Fallon/Jacy is announced.

Coming off the commercial break, we see Bubba Ray and Undertaker with the women's finalists of LFG, Tyra Mae Steele and Zena Sterling. They'll battle it out at MSG for an NXT contract this Sunday. Bubba says they'll have a big bullseye on their backs. That brings out Izzi Dame, Nikkita Lyons, Lash Legend, Lola Vice, and some other women behind them.

Charlie Dempsey nearly collapses backstage as Myles Borne readies for his match with Ethan Page.

Grace says Fallon and Jacy can't get out of their own ways and that she came out to protect her opportunity/investment in the title. Jacy takes credit for breaking friends up in the past, but Fallon cuts her off. Jacy continues to stir the pot, saying Grace will choke in her title bid. Vaquer says she'll lose again as well.

GRADE for segment: C+.
Fallon and Jacy saved this segment. Vaquer and Grace are the bigger stars but were outclassed on the mic for different reasons.

Jacy says Fallon and Vaquer know what it's like to win the Women's North American Title, but she doesn't. They're arguing!!! Jacy says Vaquer doesn't belong here, and NXT is Fatal Influence's world. That brings out The Juggernaut.

Vaquer says she respects Grace's journey and how she rose the ranks in TNA. She's interrupted by Jacy Jayne and Fallon Henley. Jazmyn Nyx isn't with them ...

OTM cuts another promo that's hard to understand, other than they're coming back, and the other NXT tag teams should be worried. Up next is NXT Women's Champ, Stephanie Vaquer, hitting the ring.

Looks like Stacks is delivering Rizzo's GrubHub order ...

D'Angelo hits a powerslam for a near fall. He goes for a powerbomb, but Lee counters into a Hurricanrana. He goes for the Cardiac Kick, but Tony D spears him on the flip. As he stands up, Stacks appears on the big screen, saying he knows where Rizzo's safehouse is. Now he's thinking like the Don, and he'll pay Rizzo a visit.
Result - WES LEE defeats Tony D'Angelo by pin.

GRADE: B.
The match was fine for what it was, and Tony D firing up when Lee mentioned Stacks made sense. It felt like two parts in one, with Lee getting the first half and D'Angelo controlling the second, only to be distracted by Stacks. Having Lee's music play as Stacks still talked didn't help.

Lee is trash-talking The Don off the commercial break, saying Stacks will be the next Don. D'Angelo grabs Lee by the neck and sends him from the ring. He clotheslines Dupont and Igwe before resuming the action in the ring. Tony D tosses Lee over his shoulders. He adds a few more throws and suplexes.

Lee lands some shots early on, but the Don uses his size and power advantage to work over Lee. He effortlessly hip-tossed Lee back into the ring from the ring apron. He decks Dupont off the apron on one side. Tony D hiptosses Wes out of the ring and into the arms of Dupont/Igwe. He then lands a crossbody off the apron on all three men.

Wes Lee introduces himself, Tyriek Igwe, and Tyson Dupont as "The High Ryze." Hmmmmm ...

Ricky Saints walks up to Ethan Page as he readies for his match with Myles Borne. He says he does enjoy taking away people's moments from them. When he takes the title shot from Borne, things will go back to normal.

Poor Tatum Paxley lost all of her safety nets.

Up next is Tony D'Angelo taking on Wes Lee.

We then see Karmen Petrovic and Thea Hail walking backstage and talking about having each other's backs. They encounter a livid Tatum Paxley, who is destroying and kicking stuff backstage. She's mad that she's lost everything (her husband and two best friends were released) but Hail confused.

Booker claims Dempsey's approach is the best work he's seen this year. The champ has been on the mat a lot. Oba escapes another submission by standing up and slamming Dempsey backwards. The men trade strikes before Femi hits a series of uppercuts. He tosses Dempsey before hitting the Fall From Grace for the win.
Result - OBA FEMI defeats Charlie Dempsey by pin.

GRADE: B+.
It was a good change of pace seeing the champ on the mat fending off submission attempts. It shows he's not just a powerhouse while also making Dempsey look strong in defeat.

Dempsey counters with an armlock after Femi takes him down once again. He goes for a Triangle Choke, but Femi does the required one-armed pickup. Dempsey tries for a Sunset Flip. Charlie works on Oba's arm, but gets a near fall off a knee to his face. Oba breaks another armbar attempt by slamming Dempsey on the mat. He hits a German Suplex with a bridge for a two count.

Femi comes out for his match with Dempsey. Femi takes Dempsey down, but we then head to an ad break.

All Ego claims Borne only won the battle royal on a fluke. The crowd chants, "Myles can't hear you," so he slows it down so Borne can read his lips. He wants Borne to put the title shot on the line tonight against him. Charlie Dempsey then says facing a former champ like Page is perfect preparation for his match with Femi.

Ava then comes out to be included in the promo parade. She doesn't think it's the right move for Myles and makes it official. Honestly, there wasn't really a reason for her to come out.

Borne says he probably wasn't the first, second, or even third choice. He then addresses that he's partially deaf, which affects how he speaks. He doesn't want to just be known as "the Deaf Kid" and instead be judged by his ability, not disability. Ethan Page interrupts to end what he calls "sentimental cr*p."

Kicking off tonight's show is #1 Contender to Oba Femi, Myles Borne. NQCC's Charlie Dempsey will be facing Femi tonight. He says he shocked the world last week, and the crowd chants "Baby Randy" before he talks.
