Who will become the No.1 Contenders for the NXT and NXT Women's Championships?
Updated: 24 September 2020 08:13 IST - Published: 24 September 2020 06:32 IST
...
That's it from me tonight. I had a great time as always. I'd like to thank you all for reading along, for my fellow staff at Sportskeeda for providing me with data when I needed it, and to my cat Ella for not knocking anything over on me this week. I may make her a medal or something.

I'll see you all next week! I mean... hopefully. Have a great night, everyone!
...
Results:
Kyle O'Reilly won the Gauntlet Match to earn the right to face NXT Champion Finn Balor at TakeOver
Ridge Holland defeated Antonio de Luca
NXT North American Champion Damien Priest defeats Austin Theory
Danny Burch and Roderick Strong defeated Fabien Eichner and Raul Mendoza
Tomasso Ciampa defeated Jake Atlas
Candice Larae won the #1 Contender for the NXT Women's Championship Battle Royale
...
Match results in just a moment, my friends
...
I thought Cole might have attacked Kyle in a fit of jealously, Triple H style, but he surprised me. Nice.
...
Adam Cole and Roderick Strong come to the ring to celebrate with O'Reilly... and Finn Balor comes to the stage to stare him down.
...
O'Relly dodges another Cave In attempt and gets Grimes in a kneelock AND GETS THE WIN!

RESULT: Kyle O'Reilly wins the #1 Contender Gauntlet Match
...
Grimes shouts at Kyle that he's "nothing like" Adam Cole. Kyle didn't like that.
...
Grimes with the Cave In and goes for the pin!

O'Reilly gets his foot up on the ropes at the last milisecond
...
O'Reilly rolls up Thatcher and gets the pin!
...
Thatcher has a sleeper on O'Reilly. Grimes goes for a kick into O'Reilly's breadbasket, but Kyle catches it and turns it into an ankle lock!
...
Tom Phillips announces that next week, there will be a mixed tag match featuring Gargano and Larae against Priest and Shirai
...
Reed misses a top rope splash and O'Reilly nails him with a knee to the back of the head and gets the pin! Reed is out!
...
Grimes, Reed, and Thatcher are slugging it out in the ring, while O'Reilly is out on the floor.

Oops. Nope. O'Reilly is back in.
...
Bronson Reed leaps over the top rope and splashes RIGHT INTO EVERYBODY ELSE.

This match is CRAZY
...
...
...
Cameron Grimes is the last entrant into the gauntlet match, with Tim Thatcher entering right before the commercial break.
...
...
Velveteen Dream sneaks in and NAILS Kushida, allowing Reed to hit him with a top rope splash and Kushida is the first man eliminated
...
And Bronson Reed is next and is already cleaning house.
...
And the Gauntlet Match is ON, with Kushida and Kyle O'Reilly starting things off.
...
...
...
NXT Women's Champion Io Shirai is being interviews when the new #1 contender to her belt, Candice Larae, confronts her (along with her husband) and accuses her of being scared. Larae and Gargano begin to gang on up on the champ, when Priest busts into the room and just PUNCHES Gargano in the face - and not really saying anything except "THERE you are!" and nailing him. And everything goes haywire
...
And Holland nails de Luca with his finisher that the announcers call "Northern Grit" and, you know, wins the match.

RESULT: Ridge Holland defeats Antonio de Luca.
...
...
Ridge Holland is in action after this commercial break, and he's taking on Antonio de Luca who is.... I have no idea. But the bell rings and he's immediately not doing well.
...
...
And, of course, as Priest celebrates his victory, Johnny Gargano hits the ring and nails Priest with a cheap shot superkick.
...
Priest nails Theory with a Razor's Edge ONTO THE RING APRON (I hear it's the hardest part of the ring), and follows it up with a Reckoning inside the ring, and gets the win.

RESULT: Damien Priest defeats Austin Theory
...
Theory is showing a LOT of skill here, especially as he nails the champ with a Blue Thunder Bomb.
...
...
Theory with a Bell Clap and a Flatliner, then goes in for the kill... but Theory knocks Priest out of the ring - as we head into a commercial.
...
A lot of back and forth - and elbow shots - between the two. Priest hits the top rope for an Undertaker-style Old School but turns it into a cross-body block.
...
...
I mean, so does Priest. Except for the whole "pretending to be an archer" thing.
...
Not gonna lie, Austin Theory has a pretty cool entrance.
...
...
We cut to an interview with Austin Theory that's interrupted by Johnny Gargano, who encourages Theory to bring Priest "down to [his] level"... and to soften the champion up for him for TakeOver.
...
Burch hits Mendoza with a neckbreaker off the top turnbuckle and gets the pinfalls.

Result: Danny Burch and Roderick Strong defeat Raul Mendoza and Fabian Eichner.
...
Burch with a sunset flip on Mendoza, but Mendoza reaches out and tags in Eichner, who kicks Burch and then knocks Strong off the ring apron.
...
We're back from break and the two pasty white bald guys are punching each other.
...
The "there's an ad we're not getting paid for on right now" music that YouTube TV uses is a lot like the pause menu music from Grand Theft Auto V.
...
...
Danny Burch and Roddy Strong are teaming against Raul Mendoza and Fabian Eichner. But it's time for a commercial.
