WWE RAW Live Results (February 5th, 2024): Cody Rhodes blindsided by sadistic Superstar!

Drew McIntyre sends another message to a top RAW star

Even with the red mist in his eyes, Cody overcomes it all!

After the match, Cody is blindsided by Drew McIntyre!! Drew sets up and rocks Cody with the Claymore!!

Nakamura cracks Cody over the skull with the bell repeatedly. Cody uses the bell to block the Kinshasa and pulls the rope between his legs twice! Two low blows and the Cross Rhodes!

Cody Rhodes defeats Shinsuke Nakamura via pinfall.

The mist! Nakamura catches Cody with the mist as he goes for the cowbell! Cody, despite the burning in his eyes, rolls forward and hits Cross Rhodes!

Somehow, some way, Nakamura kicks out just in time.

Nakamura is planted by the Cody Cutter! It's time! The Bionic Elbow connects, but Nakamura rebounds with a wheel kick that lays out both men. Nakamura launches Cody overhead with the inverted exploder. Cody counters the Kinshasa with a roll-up and hits the Pedigree!

Nakamura barely kicks out.

Cody hits his brother's powerslam out the corner as McAfee claims he's wrestling like a "Natural." Good call.

Nakamura grabs the cowbell and hammers Cody's head! Oh my God!

Nakamura seems to be toying with Cody now. Just pelting him with kicks and laughing at the crowd. A dropkick to the knees finally gives Cody the edge. Figure 4-leglock is synched in, as Nakamura has nowhere to go.

Cody is using the rope to yank Nakamura's shoulder into the ring post. Back in the ring, Nakamura takes over and lands some devastating kicks to the chest.

Boogity, Boogity, Boogity, let's go racing, boys!!

It doesn't take long before these longtime rivals head to the floor. Cody sends Nakamura over the barricade before the final commercial break.

Cole tells us that this Bullrope has been passed down through the Rhodes over the years. First Dusty, then Dustin, and now Cody.

As Shinsuke Nakamura enters the ring, Pat McAfee tells us that he uses Nakamura's theme for his ringtone and alarm sound. He's one of us.

Cody Rhodes is introduced for the main event as the winner of the 2023 and 2024 Royal Rumbles. But he clearly won the second one just for s***s and giggles.

In an interview, Sami Zayn tells the story of what happened after losing to Roman Reigns at the Chamber last year. He says Triple H met him backstage and told him not to hang his head. He's Rocky, and Rocky didn't win the first title fight.

Sane trips up Kayden as they go for the Keg Stand, allowing the Kabuki Warriors to hit the Reverse DDT/Insane Elbow combination!

Kabuki Warriors defeat Katana Chance and Kayden Carter via pinfall.

Asuka manages to tag in for some tandem offense but can't secure the pin. Katana goes for the ribs again and sets her up in the corner. Kayden launches Katana overhead for a nasty double knee to Asuka.

Afterparty connects! 1-2-No!!! Kairi just barely makes the save!

Back from the break, Kairi Sane's dive fails as Kayden avoids it and tags in Katana Chance. The Ninja Warrior's speed is unmatched as she takes out both Kabuki Warriors. Sane's hammered with a corner clothesline and left in the ropes for Katana's double stomp!

Katana Chance is going after Asuka's injured ribs, and it looks like the challengers may have a real edge tonight. Kayden Carter tags in and launches the Kabuki Warriors into each other before sending her partner flying into them! Challengers are on fire right now!

After Bayley's attack with the pipe on Friday, Cole and McAfee reveal that Asuka has been walking around with rib tape. They ponder if the champs are 100% for tonight's title match.

The WWE Women's Tag Titles are on the line next! Katana Chance and Kayden Carter look to regain their gold from the Kabuki Warriors!

"We want Cody," mocks Nakamura. "No. I Want Cody."

We get a vignette from Shinsuke Nakamura, where he promises to beat Cody in a match that made his family famous. He's bringing Cody pain, loss, and shame tonight.

The Ring General says he's going to beat him back to when the world couldn't tell him or Jimmy apart. He shoves Jey, and the challenger rushes Gunther. Imperium tries to take him out, but New Day makes the save.

Jey shakes it off and reminds the WWE Universe who he really is. He leads the crowd in a YEET, and Gunther seems a little flustered.

Gunther takes the praise with a smile! That's unexpected. He runs down Jey's accolades, calling him one of the greatest tag team wrestlers of all time...and he only had to put in 50% of the work for it.

Gunther believes he's sensing disrespect. Jey says there's no disrespect, and he appreciates the work Gunther puts in. The longest (Yeet) reigning (Yeet) Intercontinental Champion (Yeet) Gunther! (Yeet!)

Jey says the last time he saw Jey, he eliminated him from the Royal Rumble. "I understand you want to have a word with me, but this is not the way."

Gunther thanks Ludwig Kaiser for all of this, but going forward, he doesn't want it anymore. 600 days, 1,000 days, it doesn't matter. He's not losing the title, so why celebrate? He says he's running out of competition.

Pearce shows Bron the offer for RAW, looking to counter whatever Nick Aldis proposed last week.

Backstage, Adam Pearce is being hounded by Imperium, who want "everything perfect" for Gunther's 600-day Intercontinental Title reign celebration. They're interrupted by one-half of the Wolf Dogs, Bron Breakker!

On the floor, Truth puts a shirt on Dom, allowing Miz to boot him. Truth is upset, leading to JD getting the better of Miz.

A moonsault inside gets JD a near fall. Truth finally hands JD his cut, getting a smile from the young star. This allows Miz to hit the Skull Crushing Finale!

The Miz defeats JD McDonagh via pinfall.

That's all the distraction Miz needed as he counters a diving moonsault. He follows with a springboard crossbody for a near fall!

JD plants Miz with a uranage followed by a moonsault. Before he can hit a dive off the second rope, Truth's music hits while he begins handing out shirts.

As Miz launches JD into the commentary desk, Pat's drink spills. Looks like beer.

A Dirty Dom distraction finally pays off, as JD takes over right before the break.

Dominik Mysterio continues to try and distract Miz, but at this point, it's not working. Miz sends JD to the floor and into the timekeeper's area before planting him with a suplex.

Miz catches a JD dropkick and sends the former Cruiserweight Champion into the ropes. A clothesline turns JD inside out, and Miz is starting to fire up.

The Miz is up next as he takes on JD McDonagh. He doesn't know if Truth is crazy or a genius...which is fair, those are two sides of the same coin.

Dominik Mysterio talks to the rest of the group, saying that Mami isn't happy, but she'll handle business at Elimination Chamber. While Priest is giving them a pep talk, R-Truth jumps in. JD McDonagh says he's lucky he has a match and walks off with Dirty Dom.

Truth thanks them for the initiation last week, leading to Finn Balor walking off frustrated. Priest, not sure what to say, tells him to make himself at home. When Truth sits down, he sees a new box of shirts...with his name on them!!

We see footage from last week of Judgment Day attacking R-Truth. Truth, over the weekend, revealed that he had just "jumped into the gang" last week.
