Shinsuke Nakamura


Shinsuke Nakamura is a WWE superstar of Japanese origin. Prior to coming to WWE, he had a

celebrated NJPW career as well as a short MMA stint.

Shinsuke Nakamura became a huge superstar in Japan as a top superstar in NJPW. While wrestling

for the promotion, he became a three time IWGP World Heavyweight Champion and multiple time

IWGP Intercontinental Champion as well.

Shinsuke Nakamura is best known as the founder member of Chaos and had become one of the

promotion’s biggest stars prior to his departure for WWE.


Shinsuke Nakamura made an instant impression in NXT, when he defeated Sami Zayn in a thrilling

contest on his debut. He would go on to win the NXT Championship after a hard fought feud with

Samoa Joe. Shinsuke Nakamura would then lose the NXT Championship to Bobby Roode, and be

unable to regain the title. He bid farewell to NXT in 2017.

SmackDown Live

Shinsuke Nakamura made his debut in 2017, on the first episode of SmackDown Live after

WrestleMania 33. He went on to feud with the likes of Dolph Ziggler, Jinder Mahal and after winning

the Royal Rumble, AJ Styles. Shinsuke Nakamura was unable to defeat Styles at WrestleMania 34

and turned heel soon afterwards.

He fared much better as a heel, getting into a personal feud with Styles. Shinsuke Nakamura would

become the US Champion soon after, adopting the Nakamerica gimmick. He went on to lose the title

to Rusev on the final episode of SmackDown Live, in the year 2018.

Nakamura also practised Ten-Naka Koroshi (Doomsday DDT) as his double-team finishing move while teaming up with Hiroyoshi Tenzan in New Japan Pro Wrestling.
