The Eagle's chain-wrestling is incredible, and often reminds both fans and experts alike of a prime Frankie Edgar's aggressive grappling strategy. While Nurmagomedov may lack Edgar's excellent boxing skills, he more than makes up for it with better top-control than what Edgar possessed.
Nurmagomedov has a myriad of takedown techniques in his arsenal--ranging from throws, trips, single-legs, double-legs, and arm-drags to name a few. Additionally, his slams are stuff of legend--what with the fact that he is praised by many in the MMA community for having the best slam-execution in the business today.
The Eagle is an incredibly cunning operator when it comes to taking the fight to the mat--as evidenced by him time and again executing slams with near-perfect head position throughout the execution of the maneuver.
Furthermore, Nurmagomedov is an incredibly calm and composed fighter, who has proven to have been unfazed no matter what his opponents say to him in the lead-up to the fight.
The Eagle is set to defend his Lightweight crown against "The Notorious" Conor McGregor this October--and it'd be a safe bet to say that this clash of titans shall surely deliver!
Love him or hate him, one simply cannot deny that Khabib Nurmagomedov is arguably the most violent fighter in the UFC today.
